All football is ...is a distraction from every day life. Something to to on the weekend, something to look forward to when nothing better is going on. Now that politics have been interjected into it. I realize ....why do I give a shite about who wins a stupid game. Just as the buffoons in Hollywood go ....so now goes the NFL. Much better things to be doing on Sunday than watch a bunch of ungrateful millionaires disrespect my country, my flag, and the heroes (the real heroes) who serve to protect My country.

They kneel before kickoff and the only reason it is even covered is because how goddamn offended everyone gets over everything now

It impacts the game zero

This is bordering on absurdity. The players protest (which I disagree with) has literally nothing to do with the military.

It's antics to get some coverage. I would be willing to bet that 90% of those guys were told to do that by their agents.

Trying to connect it to the military is just their emotional appeal.

Well if my brother, who has Saint season tickets for the last twenty years ,and flies in from Dallas to attend games is any indication, he just stated he is cancelling his tickets. Way to piss on your customer base NFL. This will not end well for these spoiled "oppressed" millionaires.

Agreed.

I'm not as upset that they kneel (even though I don't like), I'm more upset of another avenue where people's political opinions are injected. It's like "dammit I just want to watch a freaking football game". I blame social media for all this political BS being inserted in our everyday lives at every turn it seems.

Not sure some people engaging in free speech will change anything the heroes do or dont do.

Look, I disagree with the players kneeling, but this is a free country where free political discourse is allowed. If you dont like it I suggest continuing to look for alternative entertainment.

The fact that the NFL has become a political war zone is what made me stop watching. I like football...I don't like left wing politics becoming apart of it.

And it all started with a loser like Kapernick taking a knee for "oppression" while going to Miami and praising Fidel Castro for all his good work in Cuba.

Nope. This would have pissed us all off 10 years ago too. To me, this is equivalent to the hippies that spit on Vietnam veterans. These guys could find so many better ways to protest all this imagined racism than attack the only country in the world that provides the freedom in which to protest like this.

These men could be real role models to the youth in the communities they came from instead of being attention whores damaging race relations more than Obama did.
