I don’t get all the down votes! I love Trump but the mid terms are very concerning. The Democrats are VERY motivated and will turn out to votes in droves. Will we? Trump is getting very little open support from Congressional Republicans for all the good things he has done. You dam right I am concerned!!

The "polls" didn't say that. Aggregate models extrapolated poor conclusions from the data.
So using data derived from polls the aggregate conclusion was wrong. Thanks for explaining it to me.

Here is a symbol of your attempt to hold the flawed polls without blame in 2016.

I am not worried because patriotic Americans will come out to vote to keep the government from being turned over to the progressive filth of the Democratic party.
We just don't have time to take polls because most of us are working. MAGA!

Like I just said the polls only missed badly in the Rust Belt. They were pretty accurate elsewhere in 2016.
The Titanic's voyage was flawless for the most part except for that iceberg thing.

You are right about this but the trends are still valuable.

They are only valuable to news organizations who pay for them to fill their news day talking about polls.

They are not valuable to candidates. Candidates use targeted polling. That kind of polling is valuable in terms of shaping messaging and how and where a candidate places their messaging.

I would say that these generic polls are only slightly more valuable in presidential election because they are national. But only slightly because presidential election are based on the electoral college which forces them to be more local. Not a local as congressional races but state level local nonetheless.

The populations of the coastal cities and Chicago drown out the rest of the nation in these generic polls and are not an indication of midterm results.

That is not a stupid question because leftists act like polls absolutely deal the deal months in advance

And STILL the real campaign has not started yet

The OP was very clear that this cited poll showed a negative trend. He didn't say anything about this meaning some definite outcome in November.

while just over half, 51 percent, rate it only fair or poor.
This renders this poll extremely dubious.

A picture of a pretzel doesn't change your inability to distinguish state polls from national polls when discussing performance. You are committed to your belief and therefore allow such a simple concept to hover just beyond your grasp.

Do you baw.
