The main question that needs answering..Is the supply and means of production of HCQ

and "Z-pac" at a level to where mass quantities of both can be produced on short notice?
There seems to be strong anecdotal if not outright evidence that this drug combination is very effective at treating Covid-19 especially
before symptoms get really serious. There have also been some serious even critical cases that have been reversed by the combo.
If the supply and ability to mass produce these drugs is vast then why not allow healthy or cured people back into "the economy" and treat new confirmed cases as quickly as possible when they inevitably do arise?
I'm also not sure why we can't go ahead and start doing widespread antibody testing on healthy or possibly recovered people who may have been infected with Covid-19 back in January and February before there was a test for it. The resulting data showing potentially tens of thousands of people who may have had it back then but have since recovered would be priceless in determining the true mortality rate and those that now have some immunity to the virus built up.

Seriously, what you are proposing makes sense.

Typically global production of the Zpack is around 65M doses. Shouldn’t be difficult to ramp up production for 5 million doses.

I assume a "dose" is the standard 4 or 5 days of treatment to successfully treat a Covid case?
Surprised no one has chimed on this thread because if supply isn't an issue then we need to build up a massive supply big enough to treat a very large % of the U.S. population and then open everything back up by May 1st and ride it out until we build up "herd immunity"

The so called medical/pandemic experts know the protocol works.....they also know there’s not enough supply if regular Joe Americans start demanding prescriptions for prophylactic use...this is where the greatest ground against the virus would be made is preventing high risk individuals from getting the virus in the first place.

Apparently we just recently restarted HCQ production at a West Virginia facility owned by Mylan. No clue what the overall supply situation is though. We're going to need far more than we have if we want to use it on everyone that first starts showing mild symptoms, though.
