The market is cleaning up beef without government involvement... I can buy grass fed, organic hamburger from a farmer down the road for $5.00 a pound or I can get the Walmart stuff for $3.00 a pound...
No need to involve government in it...

These folks have no idea how much land and resources it takes to grow vegetables. They just hate the thought of slaughtering animals for food and think cow farts contribute to greenhouse gas(they don’t).
Have you looked at how much farm land Bill Gates has bought? I'm sure there are many more like him.

Nobody follows those dietary guodelines. Also the French still eat a frickload of meat.

How am I supposed to get obese and overweight to be a “healthy supermodel” without cheeseburgers?
Posted on 1/17/21 at 8:07 am to Capital Cajun
This is very true. Without modern farming practices the world would starve. Of course we wouldn’t have an obesity problem either.
Can you imagine the chemicals used to make this meatless meat though? Anyone remember that fat they put in potato chips several years back?

Government needs to clean that up before taking it off the menu.
How about government stay the frick out of it all together? Good gosh people this isn’t their job to tell us what to eat

This thread has given me an idea for a new book:
"The Last Cow"
Great idea, actually, because I can quickly transition the same title into a book about Kama-lama-ding-dong if/when she becomes President.

Regarding the bolded quote; Brother, is that about to change or what?

I read the article, and your spin on it is phony. It looks to me that nobody wants to ban cheeseburgers, not even Democrats.

So happy I live in middle America. You know, where I can point out my steer and tell them how to process him for my freezer.
I'd do that if not for all the venison taking up too much space at the moment.
Then, we have 1,000 Mennonites growing veggies and selling them at their produce stand.
A country boy can survive!

Gave people the squirts as I recall.
Super healthy and a weight loss aid...wonder why it went away.

Yes it does. I doubt it significantly contributed to global warming as they say though. It’s methane. The same thing leaked from the Siberian traps that caused climate problems ions ago.

So what would become of the cows? The last wild cow died in 1627. I guess progs want them to go extinct.
