I’m not critical of Trump for failing on that. It was a campaign device. It was never to be taken seriously. It’s similar to Obama claiming he’d stop the oceans from rising. But call it that; don’t try to excuse it on the grounds that he would have done it, but someone failed him. That’s not what happened.
