The kooky lady the cops shot in Times Square a while back

Here is an LINK it shows body cam footage.
On the one hand, to me this shows that what I say is true: cops are trained what to do in situations like this (and worse), and the training is clear: shoot to kill when they come at you with a weapon. It doesn’t matter if you’re black or some fat Mexican loon. This is something I can accept. I get it.
Unofficially, though, they could have just drop kicked her fat arse.

That's the first step on the path of philosophy which leads judges to allow repeat violent offenders off on little to no bail. We've gone way too far down that path as a society, to the point where people expect to be able to commit violent crimes and not have their lives at risk.
It's time for that pendulum to swing back the other way.
