The irony of the media coined term "White Nationalist"

I am a white man. I'm also a nationalist meaning I love America and I condemn globalist activities that weaken my country.
The media has made this term into what the term "white supremacist" is supposed to be, and it isn't by an accident. This is a tool to make most white men that aren't self-loathing and who vote Republican out to be racist.
What is a white nationalist really?
If I call myself a white nationalist, am I a racist?

There is a difference between a nationalist and someone who is patriotic.

The real irony is these mouth breathers calling themselves nationalist while defending monuments of a nation that no longer exists.

kind of a "square peg-round hole" name for them here in the states. I would just stick with white supremacists so there is no confusion.

Some Panthers happen to be black. Does that make them Black Panthers?

I'm pretty sure Stormfront has called itself a White Nationalist community for over 20 years. This is nothing new.

There is a difference. A white supremacist believes that the white race is superior to all other races.
A white nationalist is someone who wishes for their country to maintain a dominant white identity. They want historical white nations to remain dominantly white.
For example... they want Britain to remain mostly white British and maintain the dominant white culture. Same for other traditional white nations like Germany, France, etc. Some even see the United States in the same way.
So white supremacists think the white race is superior to all others, whereas white nationalists aren't necessarily white supremacist... they just want whites to maintain cultural dominance in traditional white countries just as I'm sure Chinese people would like China to remain Chinese.

No.
"The media did not create the term "White Nationalist." Just like they didn't create the term "white separatist" or "white supremacist." Although you can parse the subtle distinctions between each of these monikers, the basic premise is the same. They all espouse the idea that white people are inherently better than other races.
But try to dress it up as if it's a boogey man of the big bad media's creation if that helps you maintain your sense moral superiority.

White nationalism was embraced by those endorsing racist ideologies long before the media started harping on it.
There are white people who are nationalists, but "white nationalism" has become synonymous with certain groups and ideologies and it is by their own doing. Nationalists who happen to be white don;t go around talking about "white nationalism". The term is most commonly used by current or former members of the Aryan Brotherhood and other white supremacist groups.
So for the media to say that "white nationalism" is synonymous with "white supremacy" is not a stretch at all. For all intents and purposes it is, and it;s the white supremacists who made it that way.
tldr: Blame the supremacists for hijacking the term, not the media.

I've heard the term white supremacist (obviously they're racists) used more than white nationalist in social media at least.

But the reason they want those nations to maintain an overwhelming white majority is because they believe the white "race" (however they define that) is in some way superior.
Someone simply interested in preserving culture would be more interested in assimilation than racial purity.

A white nationalist wants a country for white people that other races will not be welcome.

Non globalist Caucasian.

While everything you said is true, voting is still anonymous and powerful. That's when you can let your voice be silently heard, for lack of a better phrase, despite what everyone else is saying. So, don't worry about what people might label you. But don't call yourself a white nationalist. Not a smart move right now.
