The idea that you can indiscriminately point to basically EVERY bad weather event

And push that as clear evidence of the existence of anthropogenic climate change and as clear evidence that we somehow aren’t doing enough to combat it.
To me that seems about the worst sort of unscientific fallacy possible. Am I wrong?

As I've said before, if climate change wasn't real we'd still be in the ice age. "Global Warming" has been going on for millions of years

That is how the Dems work especially with their identity politics. Everything bad that happens to a minority is due to racism. Every weather related event is due to climate change even stretching it to potential non-weather related events. Every death with COVID is due to Trump.

Ask one what would happen if the temperature went up 20 degrees on average per year.
Answer I got was “everything will die!!”
Reply, that’s funny. Since science tells us it’s been that warm for much of earth’s history. Doesn’t look like everything died does it?

Do we need to conserve? Yes. Do we need to recycle? Yes. Do we need to innovate to find more efficient energy sources? Absolutely.
That said, the notion that human activity short of simultaneously detonating every nuclear warhead in existence can/does impact the ENTIRE PLANET the way that liberals allege is the definition of hubris.

Their current candidate was VP for 8 years with savior Obama, they are basically admitting they did nothing to fight climate change during that time.

Yeah, this is just as stupid as what the OP is criticizing. First off, you can't possibly mean 20 degrees F increase every year. In 7 years the oceans would all boil off.
Assuming that you meant 20 degrees increase total, that would be awful! Luckily nothing like that is in the offing. The temperature of the earth has increased about 1 degree F since they started panicking in 1987, or so. Back then they said it would be 3 degrees F warmer by 2025. Actually, what they said was that it would be between 3 and 9 degrees warmer by 2025, or 2050 at the latest.
That was where the goalposts stood when I joined the battle in the late 1980's. My side won that argument, but now the alarmists have moved the goalposts, and the interminable argument goes on. They can never be defeated, because the goalposts will always keep moving.

We live in a snapshot in time. Why people think that specific snapshot should be preserved forever amazes me.
The coastline has risen and fallen, by hundreds of miles over time. Entire continents have shifted.
Just because humans chose to build on the CURRENT coastline, does not mean that CURRENT coastline will remain the coastline forever.

What? The environmentalist in the 70’s stated it was global cooling. Then it changed to global warming and now it’s climate change. Also, the United States leads the world in clean emissions, what else do we need to do?!

Very few people are against this. But these people turn allies into enemies with their bullshite.
It's like PETA. Most people would support an organization that was against cruelty to animals, sketchy puppy breeding mills, etc.
But when you starting trying to shut down chicken plants that provide food and throw fake blood on women wearing fur coats, your lose the high ground and the supporters that come with that.
