Houthis launch a ballistic missile and everyone thinks "oh no, they are going to meaningfully impact this conflict"...

The Houthis are doing just enough to keep on the IRGC payroll for a little longer as they wait to see if there is a complete government overthrow or just a restructuring of the Iranian government.

Call me once they attack shipping, because once they do, they will get flattened with the amount of firepower that is in the region. We know it, they know it, and it is the reason why they are just being annoying to Israel vs. actually doing anything.

Why is it, when I hear about the Houthis, I always think of these characters?

Actually, no.

Trump agreed last May to a cease-fire with the Houthis that allows them to continue their attacks on Israel.

I stand totally corrected because the Houthis have such high honor and a sterling record of honoring ceasefires. My son's first hand knowledge must be completely wrong.

This is the opportunity to permanently eliminate Iran and all 3 of their proxies. They’ve voluntarily entered it and invited a response. Gloves off.

Exactly.

I think if we wanted Yemen to stop existing, they would stop existing in relatively short order.

Turns out that carpet nuking countries off the map isn't actually sound foreign policy though. That's why cartoonish ideas like yours should be looked at as nothing more than a joke.

The post I responded to made no mention of your son. What first-hand knowledge does your son have?

Story from last May: Israel "shocked" that Trump made a cease-fire deal with the Houthis:

He spends a lot of time in the Middle East and other places killing terrorists, including Houthis. That is when he or his buddies aren't making side trips to Venezuela to grab a certain dictator.

If I'm not mistaken, Ben Kenobi referred to them as the "sand people", and that is exactly what the Houthis are.

I see a lot of posts here from people hoping that we will "turn Iran into a sheet of glass."

That is not going to happen. That is not what we do.

Awesome. Then next time you communicate with him, ask him if he remembers that Trump made a cease fire deal with the Houthis last May that allowed them to continue attacking Israel.

Reminds me of a fake newspaper National Lampoon put out 50 years ago. One headline said, “Japan completely destroyed by earthquake”. Underneath it said, “Vacation plans of Iowa couple ruined”.

Enjoy your cruise. That sounds great.
