What right is extended? Since when is a license required for a right?

What oppression? I agree in equal enforcement under law, but give me a break with this "oppression" and "rights" bullshite.

Eminem should perform next year while 30 couples get divorced on stage.

I missed it because I was watching Downton Abbey. Saw it this morning though. FWIW, there were both straight and gay couples getting married.

Can you imagine being able to say that Madonna sang at your wedding? And that Beyonce, Macklemore, Katy Perry, Pink , etc. were in attendance ??

I cannot imagine getting married at the Grammys or at any Hollywood awards ceremony. The fakery seems like bad karma.

No shite. A sham wedding probably has a better chance of being a sham marriage.

Isn't The Grammy's a music awards show?
shhhh! You are ruining this fantastic hate thread.

Musicians and "Hollywood Elite" are the only rich people conservatives have allowed themselves to hate anymore. Everyone else is a "job creator".

Whatever you do don't mention any country award winners. Those limousine liberals.

Musicians and Hollywood elite create jobs as well. What's your point?

The average hollywood actor is NOTHING like your average joe, yet we obsess when they give awards to themselves. What do these people contribute to society? Most, if not all, were born wealthy, live wealthy, and will die wealthy. Life for them is smoking the most expensive weed and buying cars that your average joe will never lay his eyes on, yet these fricks all seem to be socialist "activists" concerned with the plight of the poor, even though 90% of them have "stein" in their last name.

I thought it was gay that they made it a part of the show.

I was equally appalled at Paul McCartney's terrible plastic surgery.

I just don't understand Daft Punk. What do the robot guys do? Sing? Pretend to play instruments?

The shots of celebrities dancing was disturbing. Most looked like they had a form of palsy.

Metallica wasn't very good and Hatfield's voice is the decline.

One bright spot. Taylor Swift looked older and much better than I have ever seen her....but I still hate her music.

Come join our thread on the TV board. Maybe some gay insight into the show will help us think it's better than it is right now. And I'm being 100% serious.

uhhhh...uhhhh.... Take a look at the last 10 years with regards to 2nd amendment rights in state and local ballot initiatives.

Take a look at prop 8 in CA.

I think the point was degree of attention and importance.
IMO, economic recovery along with the deficit and debt are the most important political issues, both now and for the next generation. There is no close second. I'd sacrifice personal motives across the board to attain those things. How could Americans not understand the hole we're digging ourselves? Obviously that's not a universally held priority though.

But personal life experience takes its toll.
If you've been personally targeted by the IRS, abolishing that SOB might take precedent. If you've been victimized by racial or gender prejudice, equal rights might take precedence.

In Toddy's case the ability to freely live in the way he'd like is of upmost interest.
Really, freely living in the way we'd like is all most of us want. It is just that some of us suffer societal stigmas directing individual agendas. Perhaps Toddy has suffered in that way. In that case, his POV has nothing to do with selfishness as was implied. Nothing! It is simply justifiable self-interest.

I disagree with the gay marriage agenda.
Its supporters are being led down the primrose path by extremists.
But I don't begrudge Toddy his priority at all.

Couldn't care less about gay marriage or the grammy's. I, for one, HATE the aristocratic nature of hollywood. Common people worship the ground those actors walk on. To me, the nature of hollywood is a violation of everything America stands for.

Book the frick marked!
I would sig quote this, but it's over the limit.
