I agree - we shall see - but I am not satisfied that there is not ONE highly qualified candidate for Atty Gen who would be JUST AS EFFECTIVE as Gate.
This nomination makes absolutely no sense to me at all - and I LOVE the shite-stirring antics of Gaetz in the HoR. I don;t think stirring shite is the best qualification for AttGen.
As far as cleaning the swamp out - I think there MUST be higher qualified and equally dedicated and more universally accepted than Gaetz.
NOW - it MAY be that Trump knows that he cannot get ANY suitably reliable AttyGen nomination thru the Senate confirmation process and he is saying "OK - if I have to do this with a 2-yr Recess Appt., then I'm gonna put in their WORST NIGHMARE!!!
Felt the same way about Hegseth too - but I am coming around on him.
