The "Fake Science" of COVID-19 --- Is death rate 1%? 1/10th of 1%? 1/1000th/ Who knows??

We have NO CLUE of how many Americans have defeated the virus with their own God-given antibodies.
We can not possibly know how serious this virus is without testing asymptomatic people who have had the virus antibodies in their system - and are perfectly healthy.
Let's hope president Trump pens an Executive Order to begin these baseline tests immediately!
If the rate is below the common fly, then let's get America back to work!
We now have the excess testing capacity. Let's go. Fauci and Brix should be screaming for this data!

For some reason they have been dead set against this.

Because tests have been limited and a positive test can alter treatment protocols. Not that hard to understand.

Antibody testing is a different test than the one they are using for infection testing.
They will get the antibody testing out to do representative samples of apparently uninfected, but not right now. It will probably start soon enough, though. Maybe even May or Early June.
That's a cost effective way to do it, but no rush right now during a firefight with an active pandemic. A fight we're winning, and winning easily I might add.

Yeah, but you don't know the D, so no its a little more complex than that. Once the anti-body test come back than we'll find out how big a scam this was... it was always a scam, just a matter of how big.

They had a shortage of testing supplies at one time.
That excuse no longer exists. They could test 10,000 or 20,000 asymptomatic people a day now with ease.

Because it isn't practically possible. Should be obvious that the logistics of mass testing is well beyond the capacity of the medical system. Not only asymptomatic but those that had very minor symptoms that where passed off as colds or other illnesses.

Assuming there is a test that can identify a person who has had and built an immunity to the virus, it seems like some targeted statistical sampling could be done VERY quickly and would have a HUGE impact on how we move forward.
There is no way that value of that data wouldn't justify the cost.

This country could be nearly destroyed by May or Early June.

I think every resource available to push this date up should be used.

Well, they're not going to complete the research on the actual spread of the infection for years. That won't be the downfall of the country. The panic is.
And the panic will die down once folks aren't dying. That is just a couple of weeks away from waning, and waning significantly. CA is already through their curve and New York is peaking. That's 1/6 of the population right there. Throw in Florida, Texas and PA going through their's - that's better 1/3 of the national population.
The virus itself will barely be a story in June, but the impact (i.e. panic fallout) will still be significant.

The Panic was started by the head of the World Health Organization and Rod Rosenstein's sister at CDC.
The near total shutdown of the world's economy is a very very real.
We can NOT wait til May or June or July.
Time for an Executive Order from President Trump
The antibody tests are ready waiting and able.

A lab in Idaho has "gone maverick" and is already testing medical workers for COVID-19 antibodies.
And I think this is smart - conventional wisdom is out the window for this case, and places with few, if any problems, should test for antibodies if they have the resources (material, personnel, time). They either have a bunch of folks who were infected and didn't know it or they don't.
Either bit of information is valuable in an area not currently affected. Most of the middle of the country should do this, too. Expand it if they can to first responders, folks with flu-like disease over the past 60/90 days who tested negative for the flu, etc. Start building the data now to know what to expect.

Mixing "maverick" results from across the country and the world would lead to confounded results. For accuracy, a test needs to be validated and used ubiquitously.

lots of armchair epidemiologists will be here shortly to call you an idiot and a hypothesized large swath of asymptomatic people somehow makes those vent patients not exist

'Maverick' means in defiance of idiotic gameplans from the CDC, NIH, and WHO. This is a highly competent lab who is calling bullshite on the politicized government "Health" organizations

Not everyone that sneezes in public has it, but since they are showing symptoms, everyone would like them tested first.
