The tax is code is how government controls behavior. And all these deductions and credits are nothing but your fellow citizens taking your money to subsidize their lives.

The FairTax can be set up to bring in the exact same revenue demanded now.
Revenue isn't the issue, transparency is.
Without the black box and smoke and mirrors of the current tax code, that no one fully understands, the government can't hide the ball from the people.

No one wants the fair tax because after deductions and credits, the vast majority of people don't pay any income tax.
Why should I support something you say is fair, when it's going to reduce my take home by 10%?

Somebody already correctly called you out about government jobs.
Farm subsidies have been more of a regional bipartisan issue for a long time. If you're a representative from farming country, it doesn't matter which letter follows your name, you vote for the farmers to get money.
But as a general observation, a party that votes for subsidies is a party that believes people should be dependent on government. (D), not (R)
