The proprietary thing really angers me as a software dev. Election counting is so freaking simple. The software should be open sourced.

Also, toss in something like blockchain to make it harder to fiddle with. Oh, and get rid of that stupid proprietary barcode that only Dominion can read. WTH? Get rid of it and OCR the ballots. Or, go back to punch cards.

I can’t imagine being dumb enough, or a person with so little integrity, to post:

quote:

There’s a big difference between saying “our voting systems are vulnerable and need to be addressed before they are exploited” and “the election was stolen

You are 100% a paid shill…a communazi through and through.

But, that's NOT what was said.

There's NOT as MUCH difference between saying “our voting systems are vulnerable and need to be addressed before they are exploited” and saying “our voting systems are vulnerable and need to be addressed because they have been exploited”

Is it your contention that if HRC had won in 2016 that Klobuchar, Warren, Wyden, et al would have sent at least 3 scathing letters to HART InterCivic, Dominion, & ES&S and dragged them into a congressional hearing?

“There is a consensus among cybersecurity experts regarding the fact that voter-verifiable paper ballots and the ability to conduct a reliable audit are basic necessities for a reliable voting system."

Sounds an awful lot like what was being said after 2020, doesn't it?

Sen. Klobuchar called the company’s machines and software a threat to the “integrity of our elections” and claimed they are “prone to security problems.” She even cited reports of Dominion products switching votes in 2018.

But, that's (D)ifferent, I suppose.

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon testified about how at least 44 million Americans “have no choice but to use insecure voting machines that make hackers and hostile foreign governments salivate.”

Hostile foreign governments salivating?
Absolutely a tin-foil hat, conspiracy-theorizing, treasonous, baseless claims of absurdity that's a threat to our democracy that undermines our election integrity!!!

“According to voting machine testing and certification from the Election Assistance Commission, most voting machines contain software from firms which were alleged to have shared their source code with Russian entities,” said the letter."

Russia, Russia, Russia...

Not to mention that at the time these letters were going out, starting in early 2018, no VSTL's had valid accreditations from the EAC & therefore, any certifications of voting machines were also invalid. The EAC accreditations that are only good for 2 years, had expired in 2017 & were not re-issued until 2021.

[/img]

The EAC issued documentation which stated...
"Due to administrative error during 2017-2019, the EAC did not issue an updated certificate to Pro V&V"

In a later document, the EAC blames the discrepancy on Covid, but Covid wasn't a thing until 2020

The bill would require the voting machines used in all federal elections to be manufactured in the U.S.

Well, first off, there are no federal elections. Only local and state. Of course, the govt in DC is keen to have people get used to the term so they can sneak it in when the time is ripe.

Yes, there certainly is a very big (d)ifference.

Well, they've already snuck it in, when Jeh Johnson/DHS designated election systems as critical infrastructure right before Trump took office, where CISA uses the "Albert Sensor" to monitor election systems/data in nearly every jurisdiction in the country with whom they also enter into MOA's.

Elections are already "federalized".

And regarding the video you sent with respect to Democrats mentioning these vulnerabilities with our election systems prior to 2020, surely the Republicans all voted with them to get these reforms passed right?

Does this equate to the 2020 election being the most secure ever?

I would not have become so suspicious of Dominion, if Joe Oltmann had not heard and reported on Dominion's Eric Coomer saying they had a way to make sure Trump wouldn't win.

Then you're a fool because that never happened.

Oltmann made it up. He has no evidence that the phone call ever existed.

He's a grifter.
