Its basically primary care for illegal immigrants. We need ER reform.

Or more late night urgent clinics. I broke my leg playing basketball once about 20 years ago. Only place open was the ER. I was expecting to see people's heads falling off and I probably had the most serious issue of anyone in the lobby. Would have preferred to go to an after hours clinic but that was the only thing open.

truth

we had to go about a month ago (east jeff hospital in metairie) and it was filled with 30+ illegals there for things like the common cold, one had a fever, and another was in the emergency room for a "routine pregnancy checkup" !!!!

the whole while my dad is dying on a gurney in the hallway because there is a 2 hr wait to see anyone to get him admitted. and we arrived following him arriving in an ambulance in a coma. 6 1/2 hours later he finally came out of the coma just as they had a doctor to come see what was wrong with him.

thankfully he survived, albeit with diminished capacity after, but the pathetic medical care he got was criminal

you just werent injured bad enough to skip past the latinos there on the fed gov dime. had a stroke a couple years ago, and after stuttering and slurring out what was wrong, they took me straight back. wasnt exactly sure what was going on, but migrants were prob mad ah. white supreme pizza privelege acheived.

My wife (no pics) is an ER doc and she has debated leaving the medical field entirely bc of the current system. It’s laughable some of the shite she tells me. But they have to follow the rules or get fired. A lot of older docs retired during Covid bc of all the BS. So there have a huge shortage on top of the other BS.

You didn’t really elaborate on the reason she wants to leave. First hand input is appreciated.

Yep, illegals and poor people who have their toddler there with the sniffles. If you want to see what “free” health care looks like, that’s it.

No offense, but US citizens abuse it as well...

I've had pt's come to the ED for a fricking cold...

Best was some dude came to the ER to get out of work. Claimed he couldn't breath, nothing was wrong with him except for being a fat lazy frick.

Wife (no pics) was an ER nurse for 5 years until this summer. People abuse the hell out of it.

One patient came in for a splinter.

Many came because they missed dialysis.

Some insane mother brought her child there in the middle of Covid for a physical so he could play football. They had to tell her they don’t do that. This was during delta. Wife said if they didn’t have Covid when they got there, they had it when they left.

But Barack told us in 2010 that the Affordable Healthcare Act would rectify this problem.

I’m actually in the hospital right now. Went to a walk-in clinic and was diagnosed with Covid and the flu. Sent home with meds for both. Still feeling awful after cutting thanksgiving trip short and returning to Louisiana came to another urgent care who then advised I go straight the ER. My wife asked if somehow she could expedite my process to triage but she could not. We got to the ER and it wasn’t full of screaming people in pain or worried family members but a lot of take out food, clusters of smokers/ cell phoners outside, and small refugee camps with slippers, pajamas, and blankets. Utterly sad, thankfully with my low oxygen (AND VALID INSURANCE CARD) I missed most of the fun down there

My wife was in her first round of chemotherapy for stage 4 Colo-rectal cancer about 10 months ago and it was really kicking her arse - as acutely ill as a person can be.

At the ER, Besides not getting any assistance getting an obviously extremely ill woman out of the car and into a wheelchair that I retrieved myself while the security guard sat there running head with some chick, we walk in and there were probably 30 people lounging around with no obvious illness or injury.

My wife was heaving and moaning and practically falling out of her wheelchair in agony. No one showed any sense of urgency while we had to wait in line while some dumb-arse checking in was dealing with the dumb-arse checking her in.

It was probably 15-20 minutes before they could "get a bed ready" for her.

I was so pissed I could've choked someone but I stayed calm because that was the fastest way to get her some help.
frick THAT PLACE!!! This was BRG on Bluebonnet.
