Junior could run as an Independent. The big money is pouring out of NYC. You don't see it on MSM, but NYC is nearing crisis mode.

Thanks for the 10-4. I posted a thread earlier tonight about the trash problem in Los Angeles, so I'm not surprised that NYC is failing under the misguided approach of the Communist known as Deblasio.

Like somebody said earlier, maybe New Yorkers will get fed up with what they thought they wanted and vote for sensible leadership. I still think it could be a tough sell for a Trump, though.

Which years? Because if you think it's Leningrad, you certainly didn't pick up any of its history while you were there

Honestly I don't know that a Trump could ever get a fair/true election outcome in NYC.

At any other time, I'd agree. But deB's recent edict to end all high rise construction will have the unions voting for a change. And that tank job he did on Amazon has most of NYC rattled.

NYC big-money liberals have had enough of the commies for a while.

What form of government does NYC have? Is it a Mayor-Council format? Just wondering how difficult it would be for a Mayor Trump to get things done.

If Jr were to run AND win, would “Muh Russians” be the reason?

I would still advise Jr. not to do it.

Tsk tsk tsk

Pendulums swing.

Remember even Giuliani was mayor not all that long ago.

I was in NYC a few months ago after about a 5 year absence, and was truly shocked how quickly it has fallen. It smelled horrible, trash bags were piled high on the sidewalks, and the subway system was dangerous. It is clearly an extremely poorly managed city. It was really very sad to see. Hopefully Don Jr pulls this off.

That said, he absolutely has his eyes on the White House.

Nah. But if de Blasio wins, it means New Yorkers are gluttons for punishment. No matter who runs against him.

But he is exactly like them. They are looking in the mirror and can't make the connection that they are him.

I lived (partially) in Murray Hill, Manhattan (3rd and 37th) for a year and a half in 2008/09. I had visited there a couple times before. I lived in Morristown, NJ Summer '12 and went into NYC often. In the last few years, work has taken me to Yonkers and White Plains, and on those trips I purposely got AirBnBs in The Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn so I could see more of NYC.

I visited St. Petersburg (Leningrad) in the late 1990s and early 2000s (while working at Mission Control - Moscow).

I can see the comparison, somewhat.. but I think I have enough cred to answer this... so what is the question?

Lol, NYC is socialist. No chance he wins in the next decade.

Yup.. But they are also pragmatic as hell. And big money is hemorrhaging out of NYC.

They will hold their nose and vote for Trump Jr or someone just like him in the next mayoral election. Money talks. bullshite walks.

If they put in another commie, they can kiss that city's economy goodbye.

Rudy was last mayor in 01.

Try to keep things in the realm of reality.
