The Dems will vote in Platner no matter what

There's an old saying: “I'd vote for a yellow dog before I would vote for a Republican.” A Facebook post from a Democrat I know in Maine illustrates this mindset (see below). They seem indifferent if Platner is racist, a Nazi, or sexist—so long as he's not a Republican. They'll support anyone they supposedly despise, as long as they're running as a Democrat. This mindset is akin to the Gays for Palestine—that's the mental plantation we’re dealing with.
Maybe conservatives should just declare they are conservative but run as Democrats?

Platner not perfection.
Susan has voted time and again against women’s rights (and humanity). Remember the Kavanaugh vote? Let’s keep our eye on the ball. Janet is not an option.

I don’t think that necessarily rings true particularly in Maine. IMO the Democrats simply made a massive mistake by seeking to anoint this train wreck of a nutcase, yet another massive mistake, that is. That’s sorta become what to expect of them, is it not? When/what was the last “massive” win the Democrats had? Anyone ??

As a republican, I'm ok with them voting in a yellow dog in lieu of a RINO.
