So, some random redneck has a graffic of Biden, not dead, but bound and ducktaped on his mouth... is the same as a recent FBI director--who should f ucking know better--making a veiled threat of assassination of a sitting U.S. President who has recently already had two assassination attempts on his life, with at least one of those having major questions about the potential involvement of federal law enforcement officials under Biden?

Okay. Sure.

Then why did he remove his tweet?

Here's why.

Comey got the press he wanted from the initial post, a post he knew would not be forgotten or wiped clean, and then he got to actually respond to it.

This was a metered and deliberate act to drum up press and increase book sales. He knows he didn't break the law. What he did was undignified but savvy.

He didn't do this in a vacuum, he has an agent and a publisher. This was a publicity stunt and it worked.

He's very wisely playing to two audiences. The liberal audience that will buy his book and the MAGA audience, that right now is giving him the press he wants.

There's a sucker born every day and two to take him.

You mean two civilians w no special power at all? Yes, they are the same.

If you think there’s a judge anywhere in this country that’s going to convict Comey of anything to do with this post, you’re helpless.

Again, there is a big difference in some random, idiot civilian or civilian entrepreneur making the 86 statement, versus a recent former head of the FBI making it, in the wake of two assassination attempts on this sitting President's life, at least one of which (likely both, really) that had some involvement of the Deep State blob pieces of shite Comey is affiliated with.

I'm not saying the dude needs to be put in jail for the twitter post but it's pretty fricked up.

Tweeting support to impeach Trump a 3rd time was a publicity stunt?

Not following your line of reasoning here.

Yeah, man... totally! Bro. You won with your apples to oranges argument. Totally the same as James Comey, a recent head of the FBI, espousing "86'ing" a sitting U.S. President that recently had two assassination attempts on his life.

Totes the same, bro! You really got em' this time!

Hey, f@ggot... I have repeatedly already said that I don't think he should go to jail for it... because it is vague and veiled enough that he can say, "Oh, I didn't mean it THAT way..." But he knows what he fricking meant... and everyone else does too. And it's pretty fricked up for it to come from someone like him.

Don't worry, he's under investigation for other provable despicable criminal activity though. So, we still may see him perp walked yet.

If you’re arguing it’s a bad look, I’m totally with you. Politics has always been kinda ugly and it’s only getting worse. Sucks but this is where we are now.

But anything beyond that (investigations, jail) is fodder for the birds.

You're not following it because you're not trying to sell a book man.

MAGA's response to 8647 is as predictable as the weather. Despite the fact that the origins and common meaning of the term 86 is not rooted in violence. Yes, it can mean kill someone, but on the list of meanings to this largely innocuous phrase, assassination is really low. The most common definition is to simply be rid of something.

This MAGA brittleness to all this bullshite has given this vulgar and undignified man the press he and his handlers want and need.

James Comey thanks you.

My point is he knew it would be interpreted as/reacted to as it has been. He didn't mean for it to be read as "let's impeach Trump for a 3rd time" - he was being provocative. He intended for the message to be interpreted as advocating for Trump's assassination, otherwise it's not newsworthy or rage-worthy for MAGA.

meh - words. I'm not bothered by Comey (or anyone) using "86" this way about anybody. And I don't think it's just MAGA that gives vulgar and undignified assholes easy press.

And to MAGA it very predictably was. To most everyone else? No.

James Comey triggered the everloving frick out of MAGA, and now MAGA is helping him sell more books.

I completely agree with this part...

That’s the point. It’s up to interpretation.
so you can't say what it means but you're damn sure what it doesn't mean.

Got it.
