The attacks on America’s Judeo-Christian foundation and how that founding came to be

Another stellar piece by Prager U, this is clearly lengthy, but something I also believe will be a good investment to listen to as it is the very foundation of this country and as such you will get a very clear understanding of why things aren’t working that run counter to our foundation. Bill Federer is an extremely well educated man in this country’s founding, and as such, he really breaks it down quite clearly. I found it fascinating and very informative. I hope you do as well, and I really think you will.
From the KJB to the Greek City-States, to the Roman Republic,we are so incredibly different from the rest of the world, and believe it’s why it has worked so well when we have embraced it, and why it doesn’t work when we abandon it.

That term again... 'Judeo-Christian'.

Watch the video and you’ll understand it’s significance.

We need to separate Judeo and Christian IMO. These are two separate religions.

And?
And... I can't stand the term.

Two vastly different covenants, yet the same God. Agreed, but the government structure is what we are talking here, not a melding of Judaism and Christianity

Yea let’s remove the Old Testament phase—doesn’t work for me anymore

The term didn't exist when the country was founded
And the founders weren't all Christian. Some of them were deists. 0 of them were practitioners of Judaism so you're right to push back on the "Judeo-Christian" foundation. It's literally made up.

Islam is also the same by that logic

Prayer U is JUDEO-Christian. And that is a manufactured term to remind Christians they should support Israeli interests.

No, it didn't... not only that, when the term was coined it referred to Jewish converts to Christianity.
eta... to my DVs- google is your friend. Nothing I said was inaccurate.

Somebody is confused about some things.

America? Within the context of a discussion about Western Culture? Somebody is REALLY confused

The birth of Islam for sure and then Mohammad hijacked it.

Judeo Christian is a stupid term, as the development of Western Culture isn't even universal among Christian sects. The culture arose out of the ashes of the Western Roman/Catholic philosophy of Christianity. Eastern-Orthodox areas developed differently and there was a major cultural and economic divergence once Western Culture started rearing up.
This tradition also has less to do with Christianity than it has to do with Greek and Roman philosophy, legal systems, government, institutions, etc. It should be Greco-Roman, not Judeo-Christian.

Here is one for the Bible scholars and the high IQ on the board.
The Jewish part of Christianity.
God told Israel they would have the twelve tribes.
He told Ishmael they would have the twelve princes
So here we are. Two forces fighting against each other throughout time created by the same God.
Things that make me wonder.
