Wrong. I'm comparing the stances they have taken without actually investigating it. Nick Shirley found rampant and blatant fraud in MN and doesn't have one tenth the resources the AP has. To underscore that, the AP maintains an office with reporters and such in Minneapolis yet it took Nick coming from Salt Lake City to actually report it.
To take that to the next step, you can also look at the differences with the stances when they believe Trump has a chance to win versus when they believe he won't. In 2020 when Trump was complaining about voter fraud, the theme was "IF there is any, it's so extremely rare that it wouldn't change anything." Even a month ago, that was the stance.
A couple of weeks ago it gets reported that the Democrat playbook for getting Trump out of office is to create enough unrest in the wake of the election to pressure him into invoking the Insurrection Act. Now, suddenly, the AP is reporting that up to 40% of voter roles may be fraudulent in California something which might push a President already known for complaining about voter fraud into committing some action which the Democrats could exaggerate into another impeachment attempt.

The AP was purchased (from going into bankruptcy) many years ago by a group of radical leftist organizations that 100% control their headlines and content, they have ZERO credibility!

The point of the article was to mock the admin; not to do this.
The point of the article was to promote the "dictator Trump threatening officials" talking point, trying to argue the DOJ actions are authoritarian and not based in the data. The object of this argument is the opposite of Trump acting like a dictator and invoking the Insurrection Act. They're trying to ostracize the behavior and marginalize those who support it.
