Wrong. This is just how most people spoke about those on the other side of the aisle back in the day. Polite disagreement was not uncommon. It will never make him a republican and the evidence is his voting record.

I appreciate his willingness to call his side's bullshite out. We need more of that. Not that Trump and our side is perfect... but Democrats and liberals have gone off the fricking rails insane. Even most Democrats realize this but just don't say it outloud.

This country elected a blowhard formerly named Barry Soetero, who had given up his American citizenship to become a citizen of Indonesia.
