By unconstitutionally forcing us to racially gerrymander a minority district, you have ironically helped end racial gerrymandering.

The played yourself gif is perfect for this. The Dems had a good thing going with their guaranteed black districts in the south. It gave them seats they wouldn’t have had. But they got greedy and tried to force second districts in LA and AL. They got foolish, political hack judges to go along with. Now it’s blown up in their faces. Huge own goal.

As far as I can tell, she just applied the law as it existed at the time. Calais may or may not be correct, but I don’t get the heat in Judge Dick bc Calais wasn’t the law of the land at the time.
