Apparently, there was more than one Instrgram post that was in question.

Yeah, you probably can't post that and be the SBP. However, if you're gonna hold him to that standard, you have to do the same with the psycho that wrote that article.

In my opinion, a big faceoff is brewing

I look forward to a true young guy to put together a March, and that March will get bigger...and it will get ugly, but steps will be made to silence the selfish, socialist, freeloading, bum punks who think a business is theirs to destroy. frick them...it will take some broken eggs to make this a great place again.

Not only is the author of that article's behavior several degrees of magnitude worse, its funded by the college.

I don't think anyone pays to support the SBP's Instagram account.

This is the other 2014 selfie that Clegg posted on Instagram:

During the summer of 2014, Clegg was traveling Europe before entering his freshman year at Texas State. While abroad, Clegg posted photos of himself and other people with racist, sexist hashtags.

[…]

“I had just finished up high school,” Clegg said. “I think there’s been a lot of maturation that’s happened over four years. To dig back that far, it seems like (Martinez) is reaching for straws.”

However, Clegg said he apologizes to anyone who is or was offended by the words he used in the posts.

“It was stupid, it’s stupid high school, locker room talk if even,” Clegg said. “I remember I was in Europe, having fun and at the time I thought it was funny. Now, I can guarantee that I have grown up since then.”

I'm glad Texas State sent the message that this kind of instagram post won't be tolerated but an article in the taxpayer funded newspaper about exterminating an entire segment of people based on their skin color is okay.

Is English your second language?

This is directly from the DNA article:
quote:

However, I wield enough optimism to claim that you are at death’s door. Do not interpret my words on a superficial level, no one is threatening you with physical harm, though we, the non-white victims of your crumbling narrative, reserve the right to self-defense.

That disclaimer doesn't negate the rest of the article. That is like when someone says "no offense"

I am probably more neck than most and granted campus was full of libs in the 80's it was nothing like today and aggy is no exception to the rule. My daughter is about to graduate from that place you so esteem and it has more leftist than you can imagine that cult, er I mean those wonderful aggys will admit.

Is English your second language, too.

The article is railing against whiteness, not white people.

quote:

In your whiteness, you are granted the heavenly luxury of not having to think about race daily, your heartbeat doesn’t speed up when you’ve been pulled over and find yourself staring blankly at the red and blue lights of the fascist foot soldiers we call police; you don’t leave your home wondering if you’ll ever come back--no, you don’t give a damn.

That writer was just trying to start a conversation.

..remember. you can say wtfever vile, racist shite you wanna say, in an effort to start a discussion

I've been living by that standard for a few weeks now. Just being vile and racist.. then when someone gets offended, I just inform them that I'm just trying to start a conversation.

May record some of the interactions and put it on yt.

Thought one black dude was gonna jump me last week.

It’s baw, Tex.

While Aggieland is certainly home to some liberals, they’re not the unhinged, dildo-wielding feakshow element that covers almost every inch of Austin.
It’s not worth your time or effort to even try to argue that point.

Congratulations to your daughter and your family on her approaching graduation.

Apparently, it was not just his locker room talk on Instagram that was at issue. It appears that some students were upset because of a lack of response by Clegg to neo-Nazi propaganda being distributed on campus.

quote:

Emmy Orioha, political science junior and president of PAAC, learned about the posts this morning, through text messages.

Orioha said he does not speak on behalf of PAAC, but as a student who has met Clegg, interacted with him and has followed his administration this year. Orioha said he met Clegg during freshman orientation in the fall of 2014. He had a positive first impression of Clegg, but said he often disagrees with Clegg’s reaction to issues on campus including Nazi propaganda and free speech.

I know nothing about it beyond what’s been posted here.
I’m not going to defend the kid.
But there are some messed up students walking that campus.

That is actually my fear. Between living overseas for several years and now living in Upper Southern Canada, it has been a long time since I was on campus. I'd like to keep my Pollyanna memories that Aggieland is an island of conservatism in a vast wasteland of liberal academia.

And, yes, I will admit that there are some "normal" sips. Really good friend of mine back in Houston, for example. In the MBA program there, we and the law school liked to think of ourselves as the "safe spaces" for conservative thought. The general population, though? Well, I still stand by my post of a couple of weeks ago.

There are messed up students on virtually every campus. Not only now, but going way back.

It amuses me when people post stuff on here about college students and get a rise out of most all of the posters.

If everybody kept the same political ideology that they had in college, 90% of the country would be Democrat. It's a part of being young, idealistic, and inexperienced.

Got no beef with you Ags, spilled blood and tears with some diehards. Was fun drinking with my daughter at the "Chicken" doing the ring dunk and they all knew I was a sip.

Texans stand together no matter their college allegiance.
