Texas deplorables, how’s Texas looking for 2020?

I wanna hear what’s the situation from the ground. Karl Rove said on Fox that he’s worried about Texas. Texas is becoming a state with most of the people in the big cities, and with all the hippie liberal Commiefornia filth moving into Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, changing demographics, etc.

Should be worried? Or is it fake news? Or not worried but also shouldn’t be complacent?

Filth VA Gov McAulliffe said on Maher last night that they can flip Texas

At the rate the CA leaches are moving there in combination with illegals, it'll be purple by Nov 2020

Damn right be concerned. Texas is no sure thing for conservatives. Austin is blue and possibly Houston. Throw in the recent El Paso shooting and the Dems will make as much out of it as possible.

Be concerned about Florida as well.

Interestingly, most of the CA transplants in TX are conservatives.

Cruz beat Beto by 300k votes.

Meanwhile Abbott destroyed a female Latina candidate by almost 20 points. Abbott also won 40% of the Hispanic vote. I think Texas is safe because immigration is the biggest issue and I contrary to what many would think it bodes well for Trump. Regardless of the candidate it’ll be trump by 8%

Based on the Cruz-O'Rourke election, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and El Paso are all blue.

good thing that is irrelevant huh?

Beto really has followed that up with brilliance hasn't he?

I still see a few but I don't see too many idiots still sporting his stickers on their car. I mean, he is our "favorite son" in the race so why wouldn't they?

The Dem front runner was forced to say that he wants to make fossil fuels illegal in the near future.

Good luck with that in Texas.

Inner cities tend to be blue. These cities were blue in 16 too.

I think Fort Worth was red for Ted Cruz previously.

Williamson and Hays counties went blue and Collin County is light pink.

This is Cruz-O'Rourke, again.

The only reason Beto almost won is because Cruz sucks donkey arse. The Republican governor won in a landslide. Trump by 8+%.

TX-22 will go D with Pete Olson retiring. Fort Bend County is lost to all the diversity their trumpeted about.

Mega money will pour in to take that race and TX-23 which was Will Hurd’s district.

Trump will still carry the state in the Pres. election.

I'm not sure. The NRA and the Southern Baptist Convention are in disarray, the former because of political infighting and the latter because its leadership is embracing SJW policies. There are too many colleges and universities in the state puming their poison into the system. There are too many illegals with hundreds of thousands more arriving each year. Basically, if you draw a line from Lubbock through Round Rock over to somewhere around Houston...everything south of that line is basically Mexico.

The GOP spent many critical years not securing the border without caring what that would do the country. If Texas flips, it will be a permanent minority party on its way to extinction. To be honest, the Rinocrats in the state level GOP are as big a problem as the ones in DC. All hat, no cattle.

As far as 2020, I still think Trump can hold it IF he doesn't do anything stupid about guns...though I'd call it a battleground state at this point.

2024, with current trends, it may go blue. There just aren't enough real Texans left to stem that tide.

Irving, Texas...21% White, 61% Cliton.
El Paso, Texas 13% White, 69% Clinton.
Austin, Texas...48% White, 65% Clinton.
Houston, Texas 24% White, 54% Clinton.
San Antonio, Texas 25% White, 54% Clinton.

It's hard to overcome numbers like those in population centers.

I'm not sure why someone downvoted me for relaying facts.

If you think Ted Cruz is unlikeable among urban and suburban voters, what makes you think Donald Trump is magically likeable?

This would be really good news if true. Have you seen a report that supports it?

Oh, and Karl Rove can go to hell. Clinton and Obama aside, he and the Bushes are the major reason why the country is in the mess that it's in today.

Texas is fine. No one here likes Cruz, literally the only reason why Beto was close. Governor election much more likely outcome for any other statewide election.
