Well, he did make a "songbird" propaganda audio recording for his North Vietnamese captors where he said he had committed crimes against the "good people" of North Vietnam who had given him "kind treatment" during his captivity.

Oh, wait, you said for "this" country.

My bad.

When did being in the military and serving you country become a bad thing?
you and I both know there are shite bags that skate on work, marry and procreate for benefits, beat their spouses or kids, etc. just like in the real world

to say that simply "serving" in the military is honorable is just ludicrous. i'm sorry but he wasn't conscripted nor did he feel compelled out of duty to serve. he probably envisioned some stars, but instead became a senator. he made a career move and judging by the result, a good one.

So for the non military citizens, in your opinion we have done nothing for this country?

Don't know as I don't know you.

There are many ways to serve your country.

McCain chose the military and the man fought for his nation. Quite a few of the people who are complaining have never made a single sacrifice for our nation in their lives.

Have you ever seen the video of that fire. I swear, it was his F4 that released the rocket.

I've always suspected that the Navy did a cover up because of who his Father was.

There is no denying there are shite bags or people with longer term motives and use military service as a starting point.

But point is, it gives the country another body when a body is needed. When push comes to shove no one cares if you joined for benefits in a deployed environment.

Too often.

When I was in the Navy we watched that video quite a bit for training purposes.

That being said, I'm pretty sure McCain flew A-4s not F-4s.

It's hard to overstate the what has happened to the right in this country.

McCain is a very shitty legislator, but this deserves to be broken down:

1) McCain probably did Trump and the GOP a favor from a legislative/political perspective. The damage from a shitty repeal bill would have far outweighed not having done something with the label "repeal" to fulfill a campaign promise.

2) But Trump fans are so obsessed with TRUMP's image (get that, not even the agenda, his ability to say he's accomplishing things) that they wanted this shite bill to pass.

3) As a result, they're now openly cheering the death of an American POW and using 60s/70s fringe leftist talking points against the military.

Then you shouldn't be calling POWs cowards

You probably can't even meet the requirements.

Mental illness is a no go. Thank you Trump

Choosing Palin in 2008, otherwise as Rand Paul alluded to, we'd probably be in five wars going on simultaneously somewhere, or the aftermath of WW III.
