I am well aware of the downsides of said hierarchy. There are downsides to every plan, but at least the hierarchy, which was clearly established by Christ can serve as a method for stability and endless fractures can be avoided.
Father Ripperger‘s interview on Shawn Ryan is well worth your time…. if you think that Catholics as a whole, don’t hold their leaders responsible for when they are inevitably corrupted and swayed by demons/Satan

He may be well educated in some areas, but is horrifically flawed and downright moronic in others. Reference his beliefs on Israel, the country.

That wasn’t a shot directly at you considering I don’t even know which church you belong to. That’s also quite the assumption you are making right now considering you don’t know me either.

It’s a pretty safe bet.

With all the information at your fingertips today, if you aren’t Roman Catholic, Orthodox or Eastern Catholic you need to study harder.
The harder I study, the further I get from all those, especially the RCC.

Do you think other Christians are not capable of the same discernment?

Logic disagrees with him. Words matter.

Didn’t realize we had Protestant theological big wigs, running around the political talk board.

I’ll bite, what in particular do you disagree with and how did you come to that conclusion? Also, I should add I’m a Maronite eastern Catholic.

Not at all. But the protestant answer to this is to split off and start the 30,000th denomination. Jesus said the gates of hell would never prevail against his ecclesia.

And it won't. To you the Church is the hierarchy and tradition, to the average evangelical the Church is simply made up of all Christians regardless of what the building they worship in says on the outside.

I know it is and there’s one of the major flaws in your conclusions. Do you know what an Ecclesia or a Qahal is?
Additionally, you wouldn’t have a Bible, the framework of your entire belief system, if it wasn’t for the early universal church.

A Catholic thinks there are flaws in the conclusions of another Christian. Shocking.

Are you not doing the same?
Also, when there are conflicting ideologies when it comes to how we worship and what Christ wanted us to do clearly one of them is either correct or is most correct?

I think almost all Christians believe that, and I think almost all Christians believe that the path they've chosen is the most correct. Do you really think there are people out there thinking "Man, I know the Catholic Church is 100% correct but I just like being a Methodist?" That's not how belief works.

The pride of protestants has always been their downfall.

That’s obviously not the case but with enough study, discussion, guidance and prayer the full was of truth can be found. I was fortunate enough to overcome my issues with the Church and see the truth. Only took me 20 years.

I get why many hate the church and think their way is correct. My best friend and a guy I would consider a brother is Methodist. Even he is coming around a bit on the Church.
