This deficit spending is out of control. We were running a $1.3 trillion annual deficit in a good economy, now with Coronavirus bailouts it's probably going to hit $2.5 trillion for the year.
Time for the Tea Party to make a comeback and save America!

They were all the rage in 2010 - 2011, did they all die from coronavirus or something?

MSM could not argue with the points of the Tea Party so they just kept calling them right wing racist.
The sheep of course believed the MSM.

Even if they did they died with their love of our country and freedoms still alive in their hearts.
I'll take that over anything the fricked up left wing has to offer

No, they just elected red meat dipshits who just kept the spending up

They didn't die...so how come today they have no love of freedom and are indifferent to running the largest deficit to GDP since World War 2?

You’re not even a good troll. Just a sad little dullard.

Bingo. Many of the tea party candidates won, and once they got there, they kept voting for increased spending. And unless they’ve been taken out by a moderate Dem, by and large they’re still there.
Each of them takes turns getting publicly irate about small spending issues every now and then, and sometimes they’ll vote against spending when the safety of the bill isn’t in doubt.

So the tea party candidates weren't actually fiscally conservative once they got elected? They just used it to rile people up and get votes?

And it ain't going to slow down ever....I'm as fiscally conservative as anyone on the planet and I've accepted this fact....you and everyone else should too.

It was weird watching my allegedly fiscally conservative friends just embrace increasing the deficit when Trump was elected. Almost like they didn't really care about it after all.

I used to be a big debt/deficit hawk, when I valued theory more over practicality.
The fact of the matter is that it's just a number. So long as we have the strongest military in the world and the strongest consumer market in the world, our monetary/financial practices can be whatever we want them to be.
Name one country who would survive the USD being torpedoed and our budget blowing apart better than ourselves.
So, the lone consequence of poor budgetary practices is an increasing share of revenue going towards interest payments putting a nominal squeeze on other areas of spending, but only if Congress pretends to care.
We could do a hard reset tomorrow if we wanted. Just delete the spreadsheet and dare anyone to collect.

People named Average Joe have very little success rate when battling the maliciously run IRS.

So said the Roman empire, the British empire and eventually the American one.
These deficits and money printing is a 4 lane highway to hell. It ends in either default and devaluation or 50% taxes and Bernie.
And politicians are all the same. The deficit is an existential threat till they get in office. Pathetic
