This is coming from one of the top Trump supporters on this board, who up until last night was still on board with him.

Seriously, what’s his path in 2024? Is getting indicted by the DOJ going to help his popularity amount independents and democrats?

It’s hard for GOP win period in 24. With PA and GA blue you find me 270. Without flipping Michigan and Wisconsin like 2016 it’s impossible. Outside of Ohio, they don’t like conservatives in the Midwest. Trump won because he is a populist.

I actually think Desantis would win Georgia rather easily as we saw Kemp do. I think Trump would win Georgia too but it’d be close.

He will run and lose the nomination, then throw a hissy fit, run third party and ruin America permanently.

But bubbas on this board will say he’s a 5D chess master

I think he’s done and I’d also love to see him under another term.

It's not happening. I just came across a really good article on the death of populism.

This is what we have to counter regardless of candidate.

The Red Wave was Governors and State Local elections. Voting laws are going to be changed in many, many states (like FL) and vote harvesting will be limited.

Populism under Trump is/was awesome but it doesn’t have the same newness to it that it had in 2015 when he was fresh off of the apprentice TV show success along with it being his first go around in politics. He was unique with his style and everyone is sort of used to it now and others are implementing it. (Desantis and Kari Lake, for example)

No Republican is within 11 million votes of his 2020 total. Obama wasn't within 4 million of his total. His 2020 total is a massive number. The support is there. How elections are conducted was, is, and will be the issue for Trump.

We didn’t get the Wisconsin or Michigan governorship and one of those was needed badly.

Keeping Georgia, adding Lake to Arizona, and adding Nevada is a big deal, though.

He won’t win. Without those two, he would need ARZ, NV, Michigan and Virginia. Not winning those states. DeSantis has a better shot to win some of those but it’s not a slam dunk. Trump is toast.

This.

The media
The Dems
The Republican establishment

All of these forces will be against him, and he will take the bait and fight all of them. He cannot ever, ever stay on message because he.always has to fight. He is not a good politician, he is to abrasive for the general public. He lost to BIDEN, a potato.

Please nominate Trump.

Imagine asking him who Robert E Lee was.

“Robert E Lee did tremendous things, great things, and frankly I know more about Robert E Lee than you. And he was a very great man and did many big things and that’s very important.”
