Some need to be tried for treason. I couldn’t imagine sitting in the room when they were talking about giving the Taliban a kill list. Did no one have the balls to say “If you even attempt to do that, I will go to the press and immediately tell everything and everyone involved in that. We are not giving the Taliban a kill list.” …Well obviously not since the only person who lost their job over this so far was the one who called them out from a much lower rank.

Today. To be fair to the Afghans, they got pissed the frick off at the start of the evacuations since there were full flights with dogs in the seats. But our country went in the exact opposite direction. Any flight that is mostly empty, put the dogs on them. It’s ridiculous. Sorry nuanced and critical thinking has gone completely out the window with this administration.

If I'm not mistaken, those crates and animals belonged to a woman from Tennessee who worked in Kabul running a small animal shelter. She and the people working for/with her tried for days to get an evac flight that would take the animals. I guess she got out and the animals didn't.
The Brit in the same line of work was able to get himself and the animals out, but they basically made him choose between his staff or the animals, and the staff wouldn't go.

You’d think they do that before now, but now our drones are so far it takes more fuel to get to Afghanistan than to bomb it.
But now that this shite show of a war is over here’s the practical reason: China and Russia are extremely interested in getting a lot of that equipment to reverse engineer it and will pay the Taliban very handsomely for it. They’d threaten war if we bomb the machinery.

Somehow I have a hard time believing that those aircraft are not fitted with some secret intelligence chip that can determine what is happening. It is definitely possible for them to track and listen to a *$6MM helicopter if they can track and listen to a f'in iPhone or a computer camera.

I mean, there probably is, and China and Russia know that, so just put these in a prominent military base which striking it actually means war with China and Russia. They’re wanting to get those into their countries as quickly as possible to reverse engineer them.
