Yeah, the suicide bomb probably killed 15 alone and additionally caused several other deaths just due to people panicking and trampling over one another.

That’s true. The Taliban want us out of here ASAP, so they aren’t going to attack our troops. ISIS though only wants chaos, so suicide bombing and blowing up the runway are in their interests.

Common sense tells me this is going to happen. Do you think people are just going to sit quietly as they see Americans heads roll on YouTube and the 20th Anniversary comes around on why that happened? People are still in the denial phase of the 5 stages of grief. We’re about to get to anger.

There are thousands that "helped us". The Taliban is sliding letters under the doors of locals that say they know they helped US/UN and they're coming for them. Most of these people's only crime was not fighting against the US/UN. In some cases, entire families of translators, who themselves did no translating, have been sentenced to death or had their kids married off as punishment.
These are people that did help us by not fighting us and embracing the new political system. That is vital to our success in these things.
And we're just going to let them all be raped and die.
