In order to maintain Taliban restraint from mortar-bombing the airport, the USA is going to have to pay up BIG time.
I understand that there are some funds held up in the USA that the Taliban may wish to have? What's stopping the Taliban from holding hostages until that money is sent to the Taliban?

So what are you suggesting by saying that? That we should stay there permanently? Because as soon as the US leaves the Taliban will step in, doesn’t matter how backward they are or what year it is

That's from months after the time frame we are talking about, and it definitely doesn't say things are safe.

The State Department directed the Embassy to issue a Shelter In Place notification which royally screwed things up even further for Americans trying to get out.

I’m just saying they all pail in comparison to this. Losing Saigon is not going to have near the snowball effect as this will. Trump mostly took care of the snowball effect of the War in Iraq. This has the potential to open up war on three fronts: Afghanistan, Taiwan, and Ukraine.

The people of Afghanistan don’t want a US presence there. How quickly the Taliban took over proves that. They prefer the Taliban over a foreign(non Muslim) presence

You think the average Afghani prefers a foreign/Christian presence, over the Taliban? Lol that country is super uneducated and fricked a thousand ways. They 100 percent prefer the Taliban over us.
