Trillions of dollars spent in that shithole and for what? We are right back where we started. I remember watching the fall of Saigon when we beat a hasty retreat/withdrawal. Will the US government ever learn? How many trillions have they spent and lives wasted in useless wars. All of that treasure could have been spent at home.

I sold generator protection relays to the US Government for the Embassy Generating system worldwide. The last order to the Marines before leave ....blow up the generator and the relays.
The installer gave me the paperwork to carry a Canadian Passport ...I carried both for years ...
I then sold portable distribution transformers to the US Army .....They were to destroy them when leaving a mobile base in Afghanistan and Iraq....... Sold a lot of those guys....hundreds at a time.
If tanks fall into the Taliban Hands ...most likely the military figures it has about one or two weeks operating time before it joins a Lamborghini in the desert. If not ...one flight of A-10's should do the trick.

Have to agree, the civil war that has existed in that country for the last 50 or so years is about to get more intense. All we did was put a lid on it for the last 20 years and keep it from boiling over, now the heat is about to be turned back up. Short of killing all of them, there doesn't seem to be anything anyone could do to keep it from happening.

How we learned nothing from the disaster of Iraqi Army practically handing Abrams tanks and other heavy equipment to ISIS is astounding.
We should have never put one American foot in Afghanistan. The mission was a total failure in every way. Just like every other military operation we’ve undertaken since the 50’s.
