Idk.. but
If a tomahawk was flying toward a school in PA, a teacher would most likely use one of those small baseball bats to swat it down.

I'm kind if impressed.

Pantsir-S1
quote:
Pantsir-S1 (Russian: ???????-?1, NATO reporting name SA-22 Greyhound) is a combined short to medium range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system produced by KBP of Tula, Russia. The system is a further development of 2K22 Tunguska (NATO reporting name: SA-19/SA-N-11) and represents the latest air defence technology by using phased array radars for both target acquisition and tracking.
The Pantsir-S1 was designed to provide point air defence of military/industrial/administrative installations against aircraft, helicopters, precision munitions, cruise missiles and UAVs and to provide additional protection to air defence units from enemy air attacks employing precision munitions especially at the low to extremely low ranges

Very plausible. Here's a video of their Pantsir S1s apparently firing. They put a lot of missiles into the air.

Die from what? There was no attempt to hit any radar emissions.

No HARM shooters either?

Doubtful, cruise missles are designed to travel below the altitude limitations of rudimentary air defense systems. A country like Syria lacks the ability to counter that.

In a BBC interview it was stated that 120 missles were fired, and that there was no word of any being intercepted. So even if Syria is telling the truth roughly 90% got thru.
That Russian air defense system isn't working too well. I'm sure Russia doesn't have their newest/best systems in Syria, but still only a 10% intercept rate is pretty embarrassing.

Yeah. One falafel truck blows up and they claim 13 smart shiny missiles. LOL

So you believe airborne assets flew in without Growlers at the very least?
Yeah. They flew with some ELINT and AWACS I’m sure but they didn’t really get in range of Syria’s SAMs.

I don't think you can track Tomahawks with radar until they attain strike vicinity.
I don't remember if it is different with a strike or a search package placed on the missile. In a search package, I think it travels in a short s-pattern until it finds it's prey (target that matches set parameters), then it goes up and then down in an upside down U.
I don't remember if strike package does the upside down U. But they don't do the s-pattern, they fly direct.
Anyone claiming they shot down a tomahawk would need to present extraordinary evidence for that extraordinary claim.
Full disclosure: I was a Aegis Radar/Weapons System Tech in the Navy. I didn't work on Tomahawk, but worked with people who did.
I did work with ESSM, which is out point defense missile, and we had a hell of a time tracking, much less striking tomahawk missiles.
If they truly hit 13, it was likely in a barrage of 100

Public support for Bob Meuller would do it.

Does it matter if the shot down all or none?
Whole point was we will shoot then I think

Didn't see it but those all seem like highly relevant questions to understand what the country is facing here going forward. Why is that funny to you?

I hope that is not a picture they are passing along as proof they were shooting down tomahawks. That missle is waaaaaay above the flight path of a tomahawk.
Video of tomahawk flying over

If you watched the video from these missile launches, they traveled beyond the horizon without ever seeing an explosion.
