We don't have to rely on the FBI. We can go straight to the source and look at the city-provided data.

The fact that you think you just posted a gotcha with that stupidity shows your limitations.

I can't wait for you to jump to the next NPC talking point and start posting feeling-based data instead of fact-based data. Or just claim its all fake anyway (which means the spike is, too).

I just pointed how Russia is focused on China and Africa and showed a port in Sudan. That has nothing to do with the Mediterranean.

How do you get stuff from Africa to Russia or Russia to Africa? You have to ship it through the Mediterranean Sea or ship it all the way around Africa and up to Murmansk or across the Indian Ocean and up the Pacific Ocean to Vladivostock. Do you realize how expensive that is? The high cost of shipping goods around Africa is why a canal through the Suez desert was dug in the first place.

ETA: Dear Wise John. You might want to read up on your naval base in Sudan.

quote:

Moscow has sought a naval base along Sudan’s Red Sea coast since 2017. During the summer, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, noted talks regarding a potential Russian naval base are still in progress, though no firm agreements have been reached at this time.

quote:

“Second, it would strengthen Russia’s ability to project power in the Mediterranean and the Western Indian Ocean, complementing the role of its other base in the Syrian port of Tartus. This could lead to increased naval diplomacy with the Arab Gulf states, Iran, India, and the East African partners.”

LINK

1. Russia's base in Sudan is still in the talks stage which means it currently does not exist. Once ships leave Tartus they have to go somewhere and the only option for them right now is the Black Sea. Once in the Black Sea, Turkey does not have to let them exit again.

2. Russia's base in Sudan is supposed to compliment not replace its base in Syria.

There is NO mess for the USA to clean up.

Not our Hemisphere. Not our Problem.

We run the West. Let the East figure it out.

Can they supply by air into the Niger airbase, absolutely.

However, an airport can not provide the same logistical capacity as a port. Moving supplies by air is much more expensive and operationally more intensive than sending them by cargo ship.

Correct. Also Israel might end up with a problem they were not expecting. These things always tend to go that way. And then afterwards everyone is like how could we have known

Another thing to factor into your thinking, Today the Port of Tartus is Russia's only Naval facility outside of Russia. Russia uses it as a maintenance facility. The loss of Tartus means all Russian ships in that sphere of operation will have to return to the Black Sea ports of either Crimea or Novorossiysk.

Due to the war with Ukraine, the Crimean ports aren't an option, which forces Russia to use Novorossiysk.
