Well, it come could from a private source also if there were a bailout. There just isn't one.

And good thing my bullshite is intelligent and informed, unlike the actual bullshite the pikers have been spewing the past 5 days on topics they clearly KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

Which would be the assets the bank owns to back up deposits.

Fixed it for you.

Bumping this for a chuckle.

For reasons that are unclear to me, AP News felt the need to fact check the claim that SBV went broke cause it went woke.

AP News

quote:

CLAIM: Silicon Valley Bank failed because it focused on “woke” policies such as diversity, equity and inclusion.

THE FACTS: The nation’s 16th largest bank collapsed because of poor investment and risk strategies that left the bank with insufficient cash to weather a mass withdrawal of assets from its largely tech sector customers, who have been particularly hard hit in the current economy, financial and banking experts explain.

Firstly, who is making this "claim"?
quote:

“The WOKE agenda coming from SVB is in a large part to blame for their FAILURE,” declared a Twitter user

Some rando on Twatter...

No one denies that they are/were woke AF and tossed around resources for various woke causes.

The need of the left to make sure everyone knows that a major bank collapse wasn't due to Pride Month gave me a chuckle.

Thanks, AP News. We couldn't get along without you.

The culture of bank bosses must have changed. They used to be the most stingy, penny pinching rich people you ever met.

I once had to run an errand with the banker who owned our radio station. I kept pointing out good places to park but he drove on saying 'I'm looking for a parking meter that still has time on it.'
The guy was driving a brand new Cadillac and he was trying to save 10 cents on parking.

No, but he would have been angry to know how he lost a dollar. He bought a 45 record of 'It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want to' by Lesley Gore. He gave it to me with strict instructions:
'Tell them to play this at least once a day.'
I gave the single to our DJ behind the mic with the instructions. He smashed it against the desk and said "I can't. It seems to be broken."
