This isn't unusual. Many call it "Dinner Conversation."

Apparently it's that hundreds of people die from overdosing on marijuana every year.

There are actually very few documented cases of death by a marijuana overdose. For the most part, THC (the drug in marijuana) has never been thought of as a deadly drug. In the few instances that death has occurred with marijuana use it has been attribute to other drug use or the health condition of the individual. THC is so low in potency that very large amounts would need to be taken to cause a dangerous overdose.

A fatal marijuana overdose in humans would take 40,000 times the amount of THC that it took to get them high in the first place. In comparison, it would only take 5 to 10 times the amount of alcohol to get drunk to kill a human. If you can get drunk on 3 beers, then 15 to 30 beers can cause death. If you inhale 3 puffs of marijuana smoke and get high, then you would have to take 120,000 puffs of marijuana smoke to be fatal. In this sense, it is nearly impossible to die from an overdose of marijuana. Again, it depends on the purity of the marijuana and the health status of the individual so these amounts may vary depending on the situation

My conclusion is that, despite the arguments against it, I remain in favor of the reform of our marijuana laws.

ctalati32 on page 8 was talking about this. He disagreed with the LINKS I provided and opted for his on from Oregon.

so at 20% THC you'd have to consume 2.5 pounds of wax which is a god bit.

The problem is that wax can be as high as 80%. That means .6 ounces...

That we need more studies on the effects of higher THC levels for adults.

That this study provides solid support for legalization and regulation so we can more easily keep Mary Jane out of the hands of our children?

That will never work, and we all know it. Doesn't work for anything else.

And thousands from weed related deaths.

Please provide any documentation of fatal marijuana overdose. You simply can't because it has never happened.

There has only been one case where cause of death was attributed to marijuana overdose. It was a woman in England who died in her sleep. A half joint was found in her bed. They could not isolate the cause of death and the coroner ruled it an overdose. He was subsequently ridiculed by his peers worldwide.

Prohibitive policies are more effective than regulatory policies, IYO?

that's not how it works. I have tried, I mean I have plenty of friends that have tried wax at 82% and everyone is still alive.

So if a person is in a person dies in a car accident and has marijuana in their system from smoking a week earlier would you view that as a weed related death?

You link does not provide any THC levels within the "study".

As we know, that is changing rapidly.

I have. I can not help that you do not understand how to use the link. An old saying for you. "you can lead a jackass to water, but you can't make him drink"

Stop blaming other for your lack of understanding in how that system works. Maybe smoke less???

You haven't provided any evidence because it's nearly impossible to overdose on pot.

I believe that the link Moulton gave says it all. Now 52% of youth in Colorado believe weed to be none harmful in everyday use.

We are promoting that when studies are showing that not to be true.
