No I'm saying after decades of lying to teens about pot, future generations will stop believing schools entirely.

Plus they're teens.

What's really pathetic is the fact that evidently you have used so much you can't follow instructions On the CDC website to gather the information.

If you don't see the connection between regulating marijuana and a dip in teen usage then you're extremely biased or an idiot

What exactly was lied about? The effects on them by using it. Sorry, When you have several studies saying the same thing.... maybe no lies were told.

However, your push to legalize has stated it is safe when it isn't.

There's plenty more, but it's onvious that propaganda dating back to Refer Madness has done more harm then good

And the push to legalize it is not for teens. It's for adults, much like adults can drink beer and liqour

LINK

quote:

No change in Colorado teens’ marijuana use before and after legalization, study finds

Denver Post is reporting....

quote:

The study, posted on the website of the journal JAMA Pediatrics on Tuesday, looked at national survey data and concluded that the percent of teens from Colorado who said they had used marijuana in the past month was statistically unchanged between the pre-legalization years of 2010 to 2012 and the post-legalization years of 2013 to 2015.

quote:

Similarly, the study found that a shift in Colorado teens’ attitudes toward marijuana’s risks — kids are less likely today to say they think using marijuana can be harmful to health

Congrats.... you won that fight???

The point is you are trying to herald a study that shows a magical drop. Yet other studies do not confirm that.

However, every study on the effects of weed on teens are in agreement.

From the DEA website:

Overdose effects No death from overdose of marijuana has been reported.

Is the DEA lying about marijuana overdose deaths?

88,000 deaths from alcohol in the us each year. LINK

Half a million almost from smoking a year LINK

Almost 15k from opiods LINK

Obesity rates have tripped since the 80s, largely due to the mass influx of fast food and processed food. Leading to heart attack and other problems.

LINK

And yet... Omgz 300 (lol) people died from MJ "overdose"

Carbon monoxide poisoning ~400-500 LINK

Your own link contradicts your statement

quote:

The percentage of Colorado kids who reported using marijuana in the previous year actually declined in the federal government’s survey this year.

Gateway Theory

That's very debatable and actually a play on words by both sides.

I like sticking to actual data.

quote:

Highly addictive

New studies need to be done with higher THC level weed. As of right now 15% is about where I would put it. It varies above and below that.

Right now, the concern is more so towards triggering markers that cause mental issues.

quote:

Pot is worse then cigarettes

In that both can cause cancer from years of abuse, it's equal.

The offsetting that actually does make it worse it the mental issues linked to regular use.

quote:

Pot causes brain damage

Not even sure how you can argue that in the face of some many independent studies.

quote:

And the push to legalize it is not for teens. It's for adults, much like adults can drink beer and liqour

You are promoting it as safe, it is not. Teens are catching on to that message.
