I guess it's easier to do that than to consider that there are very clearly groups that are disadvantaged through no fault of their own in our society.

That does not equal systemic injustice, though. Or am I missing something.

I can understand the idea that certain individuals within a class of people (so defined) may, for lack of a better term, have to start life way behind others through no fault of their own.
But I do not understand how that is "systemic." If anything our systems have a done good job (relative to other societies) in allowing more people to catch up. Plenty of examples of this. My grandfather was born in Hancock County, TN One of the poorest areas of the country. Yet the "system" allowed him to eventually live a life that compared historically, rival most kings - he was a middle class American.

Or consider the life an average descendant of U.S. slaves live today - blows out of the water even some of the richest sub-Saharan Africans today.

This is what she avoids like the plague. Women are given far more preferential treatment in the system than me.

And she refuses to address it.

Wow. Just wow.

Who's denying people of color the right to go to school?

PS - I wish I was as "disadvantaged" as people like Ketanji Brown Jackson, who wouldn't have gotten within a million miles of the Supreme Court if she had been a white male with the same mental deficiencies. Or, Michelle Obama, who admitted in an interview that her SAT scores didn't even come close to qualifying her for the Ivy League.

I've wasted enough time on you today. Sayonara.

Grievance Culture. One more concept that the poorly educated cling to in order to make excuses for their miserable performance in life.

Structural/Systemic Injustice

Look, if it's anything that liberals can put their buzz word "stochastic" in front of (including 'inequality/injustice', 'racism' and 'fascism'), I tend to disregard most of what follows.

In regards to the subject matter:
quote:

She defines structural injustice as the unintended, cumulative result of many individuals and institutions acting within existing rules and norms—actions that, over time, create systematic disadvantages for certain social groups.

If we're going to get directly into specific demographics, there's no argument against the fact that the black populace have created their own disadvantages in most cases.

Among specific races, they have the highest percentage of convicted violent felons, the highest percentage of convicted murderers by far, the highest percentage of fatherless households and the highest percentage of single mothers. Only the black community can fix that from within.

I'll say this. When I was a kid in the 80s and 90s on the West Coast and then even in a tiny white town in Oklahoma, I wasn't around people who truly cared about race. We were all friends with the black kids in school and we all stood up for them when they'd occasionaly catch some racist crap from some idiot. Yes, there were a few white kids that would occasionally say some racially bigoted crap, but we all always gave them hell for it. Racism was dying when GenX was coming of age and beginning to impact the world. That's been 30+ years ago and I'm still friends with most of them. I really didn't care about color when I first met a person... but now, unfortunately, with the "culture" changes of the generations that have come since then, I find that I see skin color when meeting someone.

I will also point out a personal anecdotal observation from back then. The most racist kids were Native American. They didn't care much for the white kids and they absolutely HATED the black kids.

Yep.

The USA is a self help/bootstrap society. It seems like shes saying some people are cognitively retarded and cannot take advantage.

She may not’ve caused the father(s) to be a deadbeat.
He/they may very well have been an irresponsible deadbeat when she decided to twerk on him/them in da club, and she was stupid enough to allow him/them to impregnate her multiple times.
I notice you assigned zero blame to her for not keeping her legs closed and exhibiting a modicum of personal responsibility, instead wondering what she did to cause her lovelorn poonhounds to shrink away at the sight of a positive pregnancy test.

Interesting. Aren’t women stronger and tougher than men and don’t need one to be successful in our society.

Normal people know this generally isn’t true, but that’s a major talking point for your dumb arse political party

Who are these groups exactly? Life in and of itself is inherently unfair yet we as a species have consistently used technology to bend the natural laws and stack the odds evermore in the favor of those who otherwise would have succumbed to natural selection. Look at you as an example, obviously profoundly retarded yet still able to navigate a globe-spanning communication system to make yet another pointless thread.

Fact. Very openly racist.

In fact their mythology says a black person created mosquitos after falling in a fire, and they hate both.
