That’s economics for you, right there. And the progressives don’t understand it…..unless they actually understand it and want to take this country try down. That’s the only way to explain it.

Was used politically too at a time when supply was low and price was high. Due to current admin desire to go green

You were protected from even higher prices. At this point I’m not sure where you’re going with this…were you expecting the gov to cut you a check from the sales.

All part of the plan to weaken the USA

SELL our energy security blanket CHEAP

then FORCE American tax payers to buy Inflated Prices to

INCREASE INFLATION exponentially overnight

In their Ambitions to Bankrupt this country as fast as possible.

After all, Middle America, Gun Toters are the last stand for their Global takeover!

People that cannot see this, you shouldn’t be able to vote & you should consider moving to Utopia, wherever that may be!

When the shite hits the fan, you Simps will curl up in a fetal position looking for your “safe space” like the little punks that you are.

anyone supporting these evil pricks in DC, go frick yourself sideways

What's scary is that Potato was able to unilaterally tap into the SPR for an ongoing monthly drawdown WITHOUT Congress going on record and voting on it. This is the checks n balances that no one wants to talk about.

for one, its not supposed to be used to sell for profit.

It wasn’t sold to make a profit. The poster wwtodd is claiming the admin lost $. I’m simply pointing out the oil was sold in a high $ environment to dampen prices and can now be bought back at a lower $. That’s just the facts.

Does anyone on here actually know the amount we have in reserves? If we aren't sure, then why bring this up?

Prices only went high because we stopped buying and the admin wants green. When the worlds largest user stops buying, production goes down, then prices come up. And again, currently prices are lower at pimp because suspended gas tax.

Keep typing and looking like a fool

The SPR is a joke that Presidents use for political stunts.

It's creation was a very good idea. It was meant for this:

Saudi Arabia: 'Do as we say about Israel or we'll cut off your oil like we did before.'

US: 'We have an SPR now. We have enough oil for a year. Can you do without American cash payments for a year?'

Saudi Arabia: 'Never mind. Have a nice day.'

That’s not how it works.

Prices collapse, then:

production goes down

When that demand returns:

prices come up
back up.

Lower oil prices due to dampened demand and China Covid 0 and US prod is second highest year in history.

You think the govt is going to tell the world what the actual levels are? Everyone is going of the fact he drained it and said he was going to.

Somehow oil prices are plummeting though even with this increased demand and global turmoil

Because the Biden administration is dumping SPR onto the US market to artificially lower prices.

I kind of low key wish he'd release some of the Milk, Eggs and beef strategic reserves to low those prices too.

From a strategic standpoint the SPR was never intended to "Run" the country.

It is a relic of the Cold War and was designed to run the Military in the event of WW3.
