Would you say the spread of Christianity, in which Jesus wasn’t even recognized as a miracle worker or having any divinity until hundreds of year after his death, was due more to the innate truth of the Bible or the fact that the emperor of Constantine made it the official religion of the Roman Empire? Which in your view? Also the Chinese were much more literate.

A plus? You think doubling the world’s life expectancy in just a century is merely a plus? That seems to be greatly underselling what science can do.

I've never said or even implied this. If religion is what gives your life meaning, so be it. It's not a requirement.

spirituality

This does not require religion or even a belief in a god.

Uhh we did that until we needed a celestial North Korea to make people stop with. If the Bible is the only thing stopping you from doing those things then you need to seriously take a step back and examine your life.

The virgin birth, despite being quite a banality among “prophets” and “gods” at that time, wasn’t even in all the gospels. At least get the story right.

That is a rather dumb argument. Nothing in John or Mark contradicts the virgin birth stories from Matthew and Luke. Each gospel was written to a particular audience with a particular purpose. Two of them address Jesus's birth two of them do not.

Nothing, I cornered one in his safe space so he’s gonna use emojis to stall until back up arrives. This literally happens everytime.

If Christ was mythical, all the Apostles would also have to have been, as well as the hundreds of early Church doctors who were disciples of the Apostles. The plausibility of this being myth centered religion becomes nil very quickly.

Well considering it’s not in Mark, I’d say my comment was 100% accurate.

Come to think of it I don’t think it’s in John either. So half of the gospels didn’t mention something pretty damn important.

He said that Jesus was not presented as a miracle worker or Divine until hundreds of years after the fact. That is 100% incorrect. There are literally thousands of surviving first and second century writings which attest to the divinity of Christ.

No one who wrote the original Bible was alive during Jesus’s time.

Are you stupid or just ignorant?
Excerpt from USA Today article on Billy Graham:
More than 214 million people in 195 cities and territories heard God's call in Graham's stentorian voice and witnessed him deliver the Gospel — pure and uncritical — in person or by satellite links. Beyond his 417 crusades were rallies and services adding up to 226 events in the USA and 195 in foreign cities.

So hundreds of dudes from places that were thousands of miles apart made up the same stories, and all claimed to be taught by the same core group of make believe Apostles, who in turn had been taught by a make believe Messiah? And this whole religion just spontaneously generated throughout the whole Mediterranean world at the same time?

Can you rephrase this nonsense into something comprehensible?

This is an argument...rebuttal?

Normally, I'd ask for specific points in order to perfect and define the Ideas which we contemplate, SS...but since I have to go 'till the soil'...I have to pass.

We all live within the confines of the Beliefs we hold. For good or bad...the proof is in the Feeling pudding. To each their own. Perfect Justice.

It wasn't important to John or Mark's purpose. Again there is no contradiction. The birth narrative is simply covered in other Gospels.

I wonder what his conversation with St. Peter will be like?
