State of the Union

So many of the typical political issues and controversies these days are framed in a somewhat binary 'state' versus 'the people' conflict. Does one put faith in the government or faith in the people? As a small-government conservative, I've been naturally inclined to favor the latter.

But much of this is rendered quite moot when both the state and the people have descended into such grotesque depths of depravity. At this point, I have zero trust in the government and zero trust in the people.

Probably 50% of the working aged population don't work. That can't be a good thing. 12 million new shitters an eaters have walked over here and need to be have brand new houses and spending money.
Crimes running wild and the Ukraine border is the most important thing in the world well after promoted the gay lifestyle. Does anyone need an abortion or a tranny to tell your how much of a fascist you are ?
Maybe one of the 300k overdoses last year would've been enough to close the border but nope. Seems like the replacement is going perfect fine.
