Okay, I realize lots of folks tend to cling to the past and I guess that's the reason why there are so many Democrats on the ballot for the upcoming election.
But it really surprised me to find that there are mostly Democrats running for Sheriff, as well as other key local elected positions. I vowed never to vote for a Democrat for any office again, after the evil Democrats wholeheartedly defend every move that Joe Biden and his cronies make.
I know some of the folks who are running and it really did open my eyes to find that they remain Democrats after the party and its' policies have evolved into more of a left wing organization than it was for our parents and grandparents.
Wake up people....vote republican whenever you can. And all you Democrats who haven't been awakened yet, please know the room.

Arbitrarily voting for one party or the other is why our political system is so fckd right now. Do research, understand the policies, and vote for who you think would do the best job for the people.

Can you give any recent examples of a democrat breaking party lines?

No but that isnt the point. He's asking you to vote like a Democrat. It should be about the candidate, not the party.

In Louisiana you are voting for a Democrat even when you vote Republican most of the time.

Again, the Democrat candidate makes promises to represent his/her constituents, then once elected, follows national party line. But I should vote for them because of what they said prior to being elected. The definition of insanity?

Harry Lee was a Democrat, and if he were alive he'd still be winning JP Sheriff elections by a landslide.

In Louisiana:

Tony Clayton

La State Senator (D) senator who authored the abortion bill struck down by the SCOUTS in June Medical Services v. Russo

A handful of LA House Reps that voted for the La "Fairness in Women's Sports Act" and other LGBT related bills

It appears you haven't looked hard enough, started with a narrative and worked backwards

City and parish politicians are whatever party the voters are. Party affiliation doesn't matter most of the times in these local elections.

Why do they acknowledge Dem when the party has never done anything for them? Give specific reasons /actions for this voting theory.

This makes too much sense to the majority of this board who live & die by a letter next to someone’s name.

So, why not change to idependent and vote for the candidate who meets your requirements? By staying registered as a democrat you give the party strength in their numbers.

Same here...old uncle in his mid-80's hates high gas prices, illegals pouring in, high prices at grocery, etc. He bitches about it all the time, but will not change from Democrat.
Says his daddy and grandpa were democrats and he's gonna die a democrt.
This is the type of IGNORANCE that the Democrats love for their base to possess. Their motto: keep 'em ignorant and we can't lose 'em.
