Spygate related: Looking back at Schumer’s interview on Meet the Press in March 2017

Chuck Todd asked Schumer if it was “fair” for Trump to ask Congress to look into whether Obama’s admin engaged in politically motivated investigations. Schumer basically said this was terrible for Trump to do, it’s an attack on civilization, but sure if he wants to investigate that’s fine because he knows Obama didn’t do that because Obama denied doing that. Schumer says the fact that Trump is acknowleding such investigations took place is terrible for Trump since Trump is admitting probable cause was found to investigate him (lol). Schumer then immediately pivots to demanding that a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate Trump’s relations with a Russia (lol).
Todd then asks Schumer “wouldn’t have you been briefed if the FBI was seeking surveillance on a foreign government involving the Trump campaign?” Schumer refuses to answer despite Todd’s repeated attempts to get a simple “yes, that is something I would be briefed on.” Schumer knew about the surveillance as it was taking place, probably knew from both his oversight position in Congress and since the DNC/Hillary was behind it all. And again Schumer immediately pivots to demanding a special prosecutor.
Schumer knew that Trump was about to find out about the surveillance abuses and that the only way to “get back” or “defend” against the impending doom would be to stay on the offensive and keep the cloud around Trump.

Of course Schumer knew. You couldn't be that high up in the Democratic Party, let alone the establishment, and not have a clue.

Good insight. I agree.
The Dems do seem to be at war, and here is their battle cry: "Destroy Trump before he destroys us and the Dem Party."

Actually, Congress WASNT informed of the ongoing investigation until fall of 2016- many months after it began. Comey claimed The FBI didn’t follow laws requiring them to inform congress, “at Bill Priestaps direction,” because of “the sensitivity of the matter.”
Regardless, Schumer didn’t answer because he knows that Congress not being informed is just more evidence that the FBI and DOJ were attempting to keep it hidden, and prevent overdight. Because obviously if all of the FBIs shenanigans were looked at back when this began, it would have NEVER made it this far. They likely wouldn’t have gotten the fisa warrant in October. So This is yet even more proof to back up Repubs claim that this entire thing was illegal and sketchy as hell.

The SC is all about keeping a loaded gun to the side of Trumps head as dems scrambled to insulate themselves from the crimes they committed. Crimes that were never supposed to see the light of day because it was #Herturn

Seems like a good time to bump this one.

The Obama Admin and many of the high level Democrats in House and Senate knew about Spygate and participated in the leaks and the lies in the media. They are all complicit in the attempted coup.
The Trump Admin will now be on offense and investigate and prosecute the evil-doers
This is why ANY attempt by Congress to impeach Trump during these investigations would be considered an attempt to OBSTRUCT JUSTICE.

I was reading this as though someone just recently dug into old interviews, then I realized the time stamp. Wow.

It does seem like the race is on. If they win in November all of this will get permanently swept away. Then they have the green light to make the Obama era behavior the norm. Or, Trump beats them to the line before November and manages to expose the key players and send them back into the shadows for a few years.
My bet is on the Democrats getting away with it all. They may be despicable, but they are a united and resilient bunch. Republicans have never been able to get their own house in order and always have nitwits like Mitt Romney fricking things up.
