Accurate
Congressional Republicans will lose the midterms all on their own. And then blame Trump
Not accurate.
Read the polls. Trump is underwater on the economy.
We just had two/three years of high inflation from Trump/Biden overspending. Then Trump gets elected and he hits consumers with additional price increases from tariffs. Trump did not "read the room" here. People want affordability. This is what gets the GOP beat in the midterms.

The Trump administration’s so-called reciprocal tariffs on countries around the world announced April 2 will raise government revenue in 2025 by $290 billion, or o.95% of GDP, constituting the biggest tax hike since 1982. This is according to calculations by the Tax Foundation. While the U.S. government has claimed that tariffs are a tax on foreign entities, a tariff is paid by the importer, which could in the case of the new tariffs most likely be an American company.

For me and you? Yes.
For poor blue collar workers who can barely afford to put food on the table for their family out in BFE despite working their arse off? Good luck.
They want what Trump was selling in 2024, but it’s gonna take years for those jobs to come online and the GOPe is actively subverting that AF/MAGA approach at every step of the way because it’s bad for business for the chamber of commerce and their globalist donors.

Why on earth is this district a tossup all of a sudden? Yeah, I’m not buying it.
Because MAGA is a “low propensity voter bloc”, i.e. they only come out during what they see as important POTUS elections. The GOPe is dying out, and part of that district is filling with out of state hipsters that cant afford to live in places like New York, so they migrate and immediately start trying to remake their new home in their own hipster image, and frick the old residents if they dont like it.

Everyone thought Trump would solve everything in a month. He hasn’t, so they are turning on him.
