I just think it's funny how y'all will spin this as a win while ignoring the 15-20% swing blue.

The fact that it was called so quickly after the polls closed hints that it may be that big when the votes are tallied. It’s 5% now. Let’s wait and see what the final margin of difference is.

The votes are not all counted. She is expected to win by double digits.

Right now it's up to 6%

Trump won this district less than 2 years ago by over 20%. GOP just won by less than 5 points. That's a 15-20% Blue swing.

Keep celebrating. No dem org was putting money into this race while GOP put in just shy of $1M.

dumbass

All that means is the hardcore kooks are more motivated than anybody else.

Let's see what happens when there is a whole slate of races to bring people out.

you know, like the Texas primary

So the Dem didn’t lose by as much as perhaps she should have.

That’s what you guys are calling a victory now? Pretty sad.

Sounds like a lot of LSU fans after having more total yards than Bama last year but still listing by 2 TDs.

It's not this particular race....no dem expected to win this. Nonetheless, there has consistently been a >10% swing toward blue in every special election held this year and we got to see yet another race uphold the trend.

What was the percentage of voters for both of those elections? Your statement above carries very little weight in the comparison department if there is a discrepancy.

And how many of those have you actually won?

My guess is there is very high Dem turnout with relatively low hardcore republican turnout. And you still can’t win consistently.

If Democrats can gain this much ground in red districts, the future is promising.

I like you bro....but no offense but I do not believe at all your claim that when you were younger you were a full on conservative nut job, then "read lots of documents and stats" and overnight turned into a hardcore liberal.

First off, many key political positions are not at all based on data. Abortion, gay rights, gun rights, even immigration are all "moral" positions to have that are independent of numbers. You either think abortion is wrong or you do not, data is not involved.

I think what happened is that you yourself experienced an individual change not related to the "documents" you read. Even if those documents were never given to you, you'd still have turned into a liberal.

This is what y’all say every special election. It’s hilarious at this point because you’ve lost almost all of them.

1) Will democrats be facing candidates who are replacing an incumbent who stepped down due to sexual charges?

2) Will democrats be facing candidates who are involved in a money laundering scandal involving 75k of donations being funneled to bank account?

3) Will democrats nominate perfect fits for all districts like this doctor was?

Y'all are either a strange bunch or are unable to analyze the statistics on this. The numbers here are a continuation of the trends cited for 'muh blue wave'. Guess we shall see.

You don't know much about special elections, do you?

Literally every major special election this year (and last year) have involved rare, extraordinary circumstances, including sexual scandals, money laundering, body slamming reporters, etc.

That matters.

Was replying to folks projecting about 2018. I meant to message HHM because he isn't a complete retard like most of ya. Figured he'd at least attempt to digest the point before responding. Congrats for meeting expectations.

Well between this and the popular vote you dums have nearly won an election. Congrats! well at least that record unemployment, record high stock market and fizzling collusion story ought to really gin up the base and the undecideds in your favor. Oh wait.

The GOP won this race, yet you still feel the need to make excuses for the margin. Ask yourself why.
