The State took this girl away from her parents because they supposedly couldn't take care of her. They put her in a center under their guardianship, where she was raped on multiple occasions. They denied her psychological help and real justice. She tried to commit suicide, but failed and ended up tetraplegic. Now, the same State that failed to protect her is offering her euthanasia on a silver platter to get rid of her once and for all.

It’s so reassuring to know that after the state does a thorough job of absolutely destroying your life they will then have the mercy to finish the job and finish you off by killing you

And those who raped this poor girl? Have they been "euthanized?" castrated? anything? no probably let go, saying it's part of their culture. For a supposed once Catholic country Spain has gone down the toilet. Shame on the Spanish govt that allows this to happen to an innocent child. Disgusting

Do you have an legitimate citations for this?

Real articles I have found focus only on the suicide attempts.

BBC: Father tries to block daughter's euthanasia in landmark Spanish case

quote:

A young woman is due to testify in a Spanish court today in a bid to persuade a judge to let her die voluntarily against the wishes of her father, in the first case of its kind.

The 23-year-old woman called Noelia who wants to end her life is paraplegic due to injuries suffered when she tried to take her own life in 2022.

She has the support of the regional government of Catalonia after a local euthanasia guarantee and evaluation board unanimously supported her decision in July 2024.

quote:

However, the woman's father has argued that she is suffering from a personality disorder which affects her judgement and he has pointed to "the obligation of the state to protect the lives of people, especially the most vulnerable, as is the case with a young person with mental health problems."

He has also said that she has responded well to rehabilitation treatment.

His legal representation has also claimed that the young woman has changed her mind about undergoing euthanasia several times.

Reuters: Spain's top court rejects father's bid to halt daughter's euthanasia

quote:

Spain's Constitutional Court has rejected an appeal by the father of a 25-year-old paraplegic woman who opposes her access to euthanasia, the court said in a statement on Friday.

quote:

According to legal rulings, the woman, who is suffering from a psychiatric illness, attempted suicide several times by overdosing on medication before jumping from a fifth-floor window in October 2022, an act that left her paraplegic and in chronic pain.

In July 2024, a specialised expert committee in her region, Catalonia, approved her request for euthanasia. The procedure was scheduled for August 2, 2024, but her father has blocked it ever since.

Medical case reports state that the patient is suffering from severe, chronic and incapacitating pain from her injury, with no possibility of improvement.

quote:

The father, supported by the ultra-conservative advocacy group Abogados Cristianos ("Christian Lawyers"), argued that his daughter's mental illness could impair her ability to make a free and informed decision about ending her life.

Several lower courts backed her case, and on Friday the Constitutional Court, Spain's highest tribunal, ruled there had been no violation of fundamental rights.

So the premise of the post stands, Spain is falling. It is a society on a terrible moral decline that would euthanize the most vulnerable and by nature of their disease unable to truly consent.

Nobody is debating the ruling. That's an indisputed fact.

My question was about specific allegations made in the tweet. As you can see by the replies, that's become the (emotional) focus of the response

That's the only article I found that mentions the rape, and it looks sketchy as shite

Yeah, your post doesn't reference the rape... Is there somewhere to get the whole story, or are you saying you think the rape didn't happen?

With or without rape, putting the mentally unwell down is awful.

I'm not sure if it did or didn't because a legitimate source for that allegation still hasn't been provided.

*ETA: to make sure we're all talking about the same thing, the migrant issue is the bigger one

quote:

This girl with mental issues was taken from her parents and thrown in a state-run facility with MENA migrant minors. They then gang-raped her.

Even in the sketchy examples posted, I don't think migrants were mentioned.

I imagine fewer would care if "migrants" were removed from the discussion.

Nawh, the Moors would consider that an affront to God/ Allah. They would have no part in something like that. This is stupid secular liberals allowing and advocating this.
