I mean, ya know. Just sayin.
Oh. And if it isn't going to affect abortion, then liberals shouldn't give two fricks about this decision.
Yet, interestingly, they do.
Maybe they care about other services like contraception, STI testing, and cancer screening?

According to planned parenthood 3% of their operations are for abortions (I'm not sure if that translates to 3% of their budget or some other metric)
I haven't really seen anything to dispute this other than a bunch of conservatives flailing all over the place
So the company who is on video attempting to sell aborted fetuses and then lied about it should be trusted when they claim 3%?

What % of aborted fetuses do you think would grow up to be democrats?
Hopefully by then, the nation is woke... and they can choose based on their beliefs instead of just voting based on their age/sex/race/income bucket.

Because that's the narrative from the Trump administration. I haven't seen any critics of the move cite the curbs on abortion as their primary concern.
They give a shite about the decision because it cuts off funding for birth control and family planning services to low income women, and it's directly aimed at PP which provides around 41% of those services to low income women. Even their clinics that don't provide abortions will lose their Title X funding.

They're not unique to PP but they do in fact provide those services

Shorty isn't really interested in reality. He's interested in building up some stupid straw man so he can make himself feel smart.
Have you ever seen that dude admit he is wrong on anything?

You know as well as I do that if Trump or conservatives announced tomorrow, "we are talking all govt funding away from PP and redirecting it to other providers of non-abortion services so that they may help low income women"...........the left would STILL shite pointed stones.
So, you know it's a red herring.

trump planned parenthood funding
My top Google hits are
NYT - "Trump admin to tie health facilities funding to abortion restrictions"
CNN - Trump Admin to bar abortions at facilities receiving family funds
NBC - Trump targets planned parenthood - family planning services with new abortion rule.
So yeah. Go ahead. Try and tell me that they aren't playing up the ABORTION aspect.
I'm the one not in "reality"

Who is "they" you're referring to? Again, it's the Trump administration that is bringing up the abortion aspect because they know it scores points with the pro-life crowd. Critics of it are citing the Title X services that many women will lose access to. There aren't enough other clinics out there right now to pick up the slack, so save the argument they can just go somewhere else.

The frick you say!
I presume this means that if Trump simply redirects those funds to non abortion providers to provide the exact same non-abortion services, you and PP will be perfectly happy and cheer the move?

PP's main business is abortion. Nothing else they do holds any significance in the public discourse. Cancer screening, STDs, contraception are all essentially free or virtually no cost at practically any provider you can name, PCPs, Urgent Care, free clinics, etc.
PP is synonymous with abortion, Powerman. You know it. I know it. The American people know it. Just embrace it and we can have an honest debate, rather than this misdirection crap - you're better than that.
Posted on 5/18/18 at 10:10 am to ShortyRob
I don't care who provides the service. When one particular organization is providing 41% of the services nationwide under the program, it's going to put a strain on other providers if that provider is forced out of the market. The market will eventually catch up, but it won't be immediate and in that gap there could be life altering impacts on low income women. I'd rather not see that happen, especially when it's simply over scoring some political points.

Your post reminds me of the Onion article from a few years ago.

I'm not saying that they're not
But that isn't evidence that PP has been lying all along and performing abortions via government funding
This is just an illustration of the media being incompetent. Something we already knew to be true.

The spleen, I highly doubt the negligible cut is going to make a difference in access to services
This is why it is impossible to ever cut anything from govt: people like you raise hell that every dollar cut is of vital importance
