How likely is it that guys like Soros and the Rothschilds are working behind the scenes to manipulate the markets?

I know that much has been said about the Fed's role and rising interest rates, but could big money globalist have a hand in this?

yes, they have the amount of capital that can be moved around in ways to cause markets to go up or down.

they use these tools most often to enrich themselves and their buddies but changing americans views on the economy by manipulating the markets is nothing new

the average uninformed voter goes by the news of the day to form their opinion on the direction the country is going in.

the stock market is just another useful tool to use along with unemployment and wages to help mold the opinions of voters along with the constant MSM propaganda

No....

Trillion dollar deficits and Chinese not buying means rising rates which means lower future earnings which means lower stock prices

They don't have nearly enough money.

The central banks of national governments do it all the time for various reasons of their own. Still though, they usually operate in bond markets. This is one reason (among many) why it is stupid for individuals to get into forex trading thinking they're going to make money.

non-US markets can be another matter though. Soros made his billions by essentially cornering the British pound back when the UK government was trying to keep a fixed exchange rate. But he was investing much more than just his own money and was leveraging that too.

A hand in what exactly? And clearly someone doesn’t have to do much manipulation when people will manipulate themselves and then blame the Rothschild’s over a drop in the market. All people have to do is forget that there was a bigger drop the same year, and ignore that the “manipulators” were still while they had been enjoying far larger gains, for a far longer time, just a week before.

Somehow these corrupt globalists are in power while we’ve benefited for far longer and by far more than we haven’t, yet apparently we not only can’t consider that, we are now blaming them for the bad when things are good.

Not true, although it’s not high by any means.

Exactly what they told us they were doing, and we expected them to do regardless.

And they did this a couple weeks ago and the market gained for the week following. Is the news being delivered by the Ponies were on a holiday break for a few days or something??

So, they just have a target rate to get too, and they’ll just gradually bump till it gets there...?

I think it’s more of targeted movement under various sets of conditions. In this case, a continued strong economy with conditions that indicate an upward pressure on inflation, which is what the data have shown, resulted in change rates that corespondend to these conditions, as expected.

We’ve be given about the most easily understandable and simplified formula in advance, which is why the decisions were expected, and the criticisms were more reserved and more academic in nature.

The politics didn’t really start until a politician criticized it after the fact, which coincided with people overreacting to a market drop.

And the rates that actually are more strongly tied to the market, are not decided by the fed, and in fact, that politician with the criticism signed policy that drives the rates (i.e., bonds to fund government’s debt).

They simply do not have enough capital to do so on a macro scale.

can they move a stock? yes, the market as a whole? not very likely.

Being caught attempting it would be very bad for business for either of those two though.

They are calling for 3-4 more hikes by the end of 2019. This is in the face of minimal inflation. Then you have all of these Fed governors that flapping their gums just to get some camera time. They should be under a gag order. I would like to see them talk about being more flexible as opposed to rigid like the President said, and no I am not a fan of him calling out the Fed. Raising the rates and unwinding of their balance sheet is a recipe for a slowdown in my opinion.

This. The US market is fricking massive. The Vanguard S&P index fund has half a Trillion dollars under under management by itself, and that's 1 fund out of thousands.

Soros and the Rothschilds could combine their entire net worths and buy only one stock, or even pull all their money out altogether and it would barely move the needle.

Most of them play in markets that we don't. I wanted to get into Forex and Commodities, but then I figured out that game is rigged against me, might as well be roulette.
