With all the stoned people you have a greater chance of getting killed on the highway.

Grew up along the front range and graduated from CSU. Job offer moved me to Texas in 1986. CO sure has changed since then...for the worse.

Sadly CO has been californicated.

I visited Colorado Springs 4 yrs ago. Had to tell the hotel manager to put the TV on an English channel. Have never gone back, don't intend to.

Moved to Broomfield, CO back in the 90s with my wife and kids (wife’s a CO native). Consistently became more and more crowded and expensive. Now all cities/towns along the eastern foothills are way overcrowded and overpriced. If you’re a rich person you might be able to live a nice life in the Rockies, but that’s starting to become a pipe dream even for the wealthy. I’m in Ohio now and love it.

I really like it here. Hopefully I can stay.

All the negatives are created by outsiders (like me). The housing prices for good areas are very high. I moved from NYC. While Denver isn’t as expensive as NYC, it’s not that far off. The traffic in and out of the mountains from Denver is really bad, to the point it makes day trips less enjoyable so you almost need a seasonal rental. The amount of people here far exceeds the infrastructure.

I went to Colorado for the first time this summer and loved it. It's the only place I have ever been to that I would consider leaving East Tennessee for.

My cousin has been there about 15 years. He's now married with kids and says the state has changed a lot. Lots more crime, homeless population is increasing and just general Californication happening with the liberal take over. He is planning to move...hoping to go to Idaho or Wyoming somewhere in the same area. I'm encouraging him to at least stay in the region...I enjoy the free place to crash while vacationing in the area.

I lived in the Springs in the 90's and retired from the military while there. Loved it. Working in Aurora til December right now. It has changed so much now. Beggars everywhere, overcrowded, new overpriced housing going up all over, traffic is horrible. Add to it the fact that Californians have overrun the place. Idiots like our liberal posters everywhere. The mountains are beautiful, if you can get through the traffic to get there. Sadly the Colorado I loved is gone forever.

I love Telluride, Steamboat, Crested Butte, and the like...but it isn't home. I can't put a price tag on that, but maybe I'm just a hick homebody.

CA with NH or the Dakota's government would be the best place on Earth.
