That they lose sight of the big picture. There is One in control. Sometimes it’s healthy to step back from the key board and just let all the outrage and everything go… and rest in Him. Just a friendly reminder to the faithful,

Amen. The entire point of the book of Revelation is to assure the Church that Christ wins, no matter how bad things might seem.

Sometimes, I almost envy those with blind faith. I can almost imagine how it helps stay even-keeled. I’m as conservative as anyone, more so than most, even though I’m not the least amount religious. It may not be possible, but it would be nice if the religious-right joined the rest of the right in our willingness to fight violence with violence. 2020 showed everyone that “voting” is basically meaningless now, and I’ve never seen tyranny destroyed by prayer. There was a time when Christians would take up the sword…those days seem to be behind us. I blame the woke and politically correct churches.

Nothing personal…again, I envy your blind faith.

Not totally blind. Things are hopeless. You really confront this and face this hopelessness, find out just how thoroughly hopeless, how far gone we are, and exactly how it got this way. Who these people are at the top and exactly what they do. They are evil. It doesn't even make sense for them to be that evil. It's otherworldly, like they truly are Satan compelled. And they worship Satan. And they hate Jesus. And they're fulfilling Revelation. So it's real to them.

I trust that you have heard of the American Revolution. Those men put their lives on the line, and many, of course, gave their lives for the cause of freedom. But anyone who believes that we just outsmarted the most powerful military in the world at the time, who badly outnumbered our people, is putting blind faith in humankind.

Those men prayed, and their prayers were answered. We don't win that war, otherwise. These are the things that build our faith. It's far from blind.

I agree about politically correct churches today. They not only won't fight for freedom, they will barely fight for the faith. They just want to get out of the way. But that isn't what we're supposed to do, and it's surely not what I'm going to do.

Which is why I said there was a time when Christians would take up the sword. I also said I believe those days are behind us. Every one of our founding fathers were willing to sacrifice their lives for freedom. The need for willingness to make that sacrifice is coming back around…maybe quicker than some think. How many will get up off their knees and grab a weapon, with the intent of sending our oppressors to hell? Who will be in that number? Are we even capable of putting up a fight anymore, or are we (as a citizenry) too far gone?

I was answering your assumption that our faith is blind.

As far as those willing to fight, I think you badly underestimate how many of them are Christians. Most conservatives are God fearing people, and conservatives are mostly the one's willing to fight.

I think if taking up weapons becomes necessary, then it will happen. But you can see how making that our first plan of action might not be most wise. Our own government has turned against us, and our military isn't doing anything about it. So if the military, themselves, won't stand up against this, it isn't as "simple" as the citizenry forming an uprising. We don't have long range weapons to combat the attacks that would come against us.

So any effort to take back control of this country is going to depend first upon whether this nation seeks God and surrenders to Him, and trusts in Him to see us through. And from there, God can make the way if He so chooses, just as He did at the beginning of this country. If we try to be heroes and just run out and start shooting at our enemies, without any thought or prayer, we're not going to make it.

As someone who spent half his life in uniform, and a good deal of that time deployed to combat zones, today’s military is intimidating me less and less each day.

Given enough time on their present trajectory, and their might won’t intimidate me at all.

I believe that a large number would throw in and support a “righteous army of patriots” when that time comes.

The Jews pray every day at the wailing wall (western wall) for god to destroy the dome of the rock, allowing them to rebuild their temple. I wonder if their faith is wavering after centuries of silence? I wonder if they’ll decide to take care of it themselves, more directly, eventually? It certainly wouldn’t be hard for them to do.

It is possible to take news seriously and learn from it but not go off the deep end over it and still be a Christian. I don't see what you're getting at, OP unless you're just accusing people of being lunatic fringe which most here are not. We know who the real lunatics here are and usually avoid/ignore them.

I obviously rubbed a feather and touched a golden calf for you or something… because my post was not what you are construing it to be. You actually just proved you need a break from the keyboard and the outrage… like my OP was stating
